Heavier women who dress...skimpily

Anonymous
I'm all for freedom of expression and I think women should dress in whatever way makes them feel comfortable, self-confident and sexy. However I always wonder about those women who have just put on some weight, not totally fat yet but chubby or chunky, who dress in tight dresses, or tight yoga pants, sleeveless tops. That takes a lot of self confidence.

Yes it does and you are a bitch

Hey troll, don't be so catty. That might be you some day soon.

Maybe they are on medication for a physical ailment? Again, be grateful.

Maybe they have been skinny all their lives and have no idea that they are as big as they are? Maybe it is something they have no control over?

I have a good friend who is recently very ill. She was a size 2 her whole life (I've known her since high school). The guys loved her, the girls hated her. She rocked a bikini after four kids. She didn't just THINK she rocked a bikini, she really did! I can not emphasize enough, guys loved her, women hated her. Which tells you a lot about women. Like your post. Good luck to you and your piss poor attitude OP. I am certain you know little happiness in your life, somehow.

I have an overweight friend. She mostly wears a lot of clothes with very stretchy fabric. I frankly think it looks better than wearing mumus or something like that.

PP, I do too. Though OP would be happier if she did wear a mumu. My bet is that OP saw someone with nice cleavage she does not have - LOL!

OP suck it up!

We have meat and LOTS of self confidence!

I feel great the way I look and I'm the healthiest I've ever been in my life! I exercise, my family eats healthy and we teach our children that what matters is who you're on the inside. Too bad our shape doesn't match what media said is beautiful today. It might change very soon and chances are the majority still won't fit in that category so we're better be happy with who we are.

ps. I cheered up inside the day DH slapped my ass and said I look the hottest in yoga pants and no make up. I was 12 weeks PP and feeling horrible. That's a true man!

As more people become obese, more people become comfortable with it. I had no qualms about going being in a bathing suit before I lost the baby weight because all the other women at the pool were very, very heavy.

Yoga pants and sleeveless tops are now skimpy? Get a a life OP. We aren't talking about daisy dukes and crop tops. Please people aren't destined to wear baggy loose and long sleeve clothes independent of the weather or the activity.

OP -- you are very mean. I am overweight and I like to wear whatever clothes I desire. No one owns me. I used to be skinny. And, I was even skinny after having a kid. Now...not so much. Get a life and MYOB.

I'm heavier than I'd like, and I wear sleeveless tops because it's freaking hot! And aren't yoga pants meant to be kinda tight? OP, go eat a cheeseburger.

You're right OP. Fat chicks & cubby chicks should only wear burkas.

Wow, are you talking about me? I'm overweight and I wear sleeveless tops and yoga pants because they're comfy. I'm 8 months post partum, have a very active infant I chase around, and I'm totally sleep deprived. Horror of horrors, I actually think I look sort of cute in my yoga pants. I didn't realize I was supposed to wear a paper bag over my head and wrap myself up in garbage bags because I lost my figure after having a baby.

Speaking as a Size 2, I'd love to wear something other than sleeveless tops and skirts cut up the thigh, and low-cut cleavage. Let me know if there is something I can purchase in my size. I'm sure fat women have an even harder time finding it.

The famous "I just had a baby" excuse. It's the excuse for not exercising and wolfing down tons of fried food while watching a Real Housewives marathon.

Size 2, I'm a size 8, and I'm facing the same dilemma. Looks like these days almost everything is sleeveless, or low-cut, or see-through. Frustrating.
