Heavier women who dress...skimpily

That takes a lot of self confidence.

And yet you think we care what you think ...

Sorry. You are not that important.

OP, what would be weight "appropriate" clothing for heavy people to wear when its 95 degrees outside? Sweaters in summer? A cape for the pool? Ugh...really get a life. Is there something missing in your life that you need to focus on this? Does a heavy person's self-confidence make you feel bad about yourself? You seem to be worried about what other people think about you and maybe you feel the need to deflect. This thread is eerily similar to the crazy Jennifer Love Hewitt thread a few days ago.

Agree with this too. Also, I think it is better to wear a sleevless top when you have big arm than to cram them into really tight sleeves.

I am a 6-foot-tall size 14. I weigh 180. I wear yoga pants and sleeveless tops when I go to yoga class, as well as before and after yoga class. What would you propose I wear to yoga class, if not yoga pants?

As a follow-up, what would you propose I wear to show off the guns I have developed thanks to said yoga class, if not sleeveless tops?

I would bet the women you speak of look better than you think you do, OP. Is that what is eating you? Why don't you worry more about yourself and less about others. Because I guarantee they could give a flying f*ck about you. Grow up.

that's right, it's self-confidence, and there's nothing wrong with that. wouldn't it be nice if society stopped telling people what body types look good and what everyone should be wearing?

I have to wonder how OP defines chubby or chunky since she/he states it is not "totally fat." I'm wondering if this is one of those eating-disordered whackos who thinks anyone with curves is chunky.

I am not chubby or chunky I am FAT.

Not only do I wear Yoga pants, I have a two piece bikini.
Guess what if I completely cover myself up in a burka you are still going to know I'm fat. If I wear a sweater, it doesn't hide my fat.
Fuck you and what you think of me and my body.
I like me, my husband thinks I'm hot, and that's all that matters.

Go on with your bad self, girlfriend!

How do you do this with yoga?

It's hot and HUMID. If they feel comfortable walking around dressed *skimpy*, don't care. More power to them...

I spend the summer in tank tops and shorts, 5', 103 lbs. Gawd, hate the summers in DC.

I learned while I was overweight that since I still had the hourglass shape (just not in a small size) it looked a lot better to show that shape than it did to try to disguise it with big flowy things.

As someone who has been overweight my entire life,Fuck You- OP.

Something I know is I look ten times better in an item which hugs my curves than an item without shape. I also wear sleeveless and shorts in this heat. Am I really any different than you other than the weight?

PP, I'm thinking OPs husband definitely does not care about her!

Have you ever taken any kind of a yoga other than a light "Ashtanga flow" class? Chaturanga, downward-facing dog, warrior 2...all poses that (when held properly and not glossed over as a part of some intro class at the gym) really work out your arms.
