2. DeMatha (10-4): The senior-laden Stags are on a mission to bring the WCAC ship back to Hyattsville. DeMatha continues to find ways to win games, 2 of their last 4 victories have come in OT.

3. Bullis (12-3): Despite the loss last night, the Bulldogs have the offensive talent to compete with anyone. Fogo play is a concern.

4. Georgetown Prep (7-6): The Lil Hoyas have been very erratic this season but have the athletes to compete with anyone. The Hoyas seem to have found their stride and their victory over GC last week looks even better this morning.

5. St Johns (7-5): The Cadets are dealing with some injurious this spring have have also played inconsistent lacrosse. Don't sleep on them as I fully anticipate they are going to get hot at the right time and will make a run in the WCAC playoffs.

6. Good Counsel (10-4): The Falcons picked up a monster victory over Gonzaga last night, arugably one of the bigger victories in the Dane Smith era.

7. Paul VI: (6-7): Despite the Panthers record, these guys continue to put teams on the ropes. Nearly knocked off DeMatha last nigtht and SJC the week before. The Panthers are scrappy.

8. St. Albans (6-7): The Bulldogs picked up a good victory over Episcopal yesterday aftenoon. STA has improved in the past week after the return of a key offensive player who has missed a good portion of the season.

9. Episcopal (6-6): The Maroon have lost 4 out of their last 5 contests. The Mad Lax hype is fading

10. St Mary's Ryken (8-4): brutal strech of games for the Knights next week with tilts with GC, PVI and GZ all games on the road.

Wishing everyone a happy Easter weekend.

Wrong
Dematha's 4 loses to SMR, Lasalle, SMA and BULLIS don't compare to losing to Landon, Spalding and StP.
Maybe DM rises to 3rd if they win the WCAC, but that league is very scrambled right now and I'm not sure they have any significant wins to give props to their current top team.

St Paul isn't so special team this year that you'd get to lose to and stay at the top. They got doubled up by MSJ.

After the game in the parking late PVI parents began to get into the face of some DeMatha players along with some other DeMatha baseball players which led to a PVI parent putting hands onto a DeMatha player and then the scuffle was broken up. However the cops were called and other PVI parents were trying to instigate and chirp at DeMatha players who were standing in the parking lot at there cars.

That sounds about right. My son has played with and against some of the pvi kids since 3rd grade. Not at all surprised with the antics of their parents. The kids are not much better and will definitely let racial slurs fly on the field

As compared to losing to W/L 4-8 St. Mary's Annapolis. There's zero rationale for putting DM ahead of Bullis.

I saw this at a football game against a different team and frankly was shocked. Lots of bad behavior by lots of team parents but PVI takes it to a new level.

Welcome to the Dulles south affect. Prob some of the worst parents in the area

+1000

Dulles South, at least this group of boys, has been the single handed worst group in the area. Destroyed VHSL and some of the nastiest parents have created the same from the players on the field. Win at all costs, zero respect for the game or creator, zero respect for the community.

The ones that can afford it, sent their kids to PVI when it moved out there.

The rest are in publics schools and you can enjoy those forums over there. Same take. It started at the top and the other parents followed his lead.

Um, you forgot about Gonzaga. They beat PVI, so should be ranked #7.

Was there anything racial or are you just throwing that out there for fun? And by the way, there are two sides to every story, what the DM players do that had the PVI parents upset?

From an objective perspective, did any adults physically grab HS aged players?

After the game in the parking late PVI parents began to get into the face of some DeMatha players along with some other DeMatha baseball players which led to a PVI parent putting hands onto a DeMatha player and then the scuffle was broken up. However the cops were called and other PVI parents were trying to instigate and chirp at DeMatha players who were standing in the parking lot at there cars.

PVI parents came before the game and hung multiple PVI banners up all over the the DeMatha field. All but one were torn down pregame. (DeMatha is not allowed to hang their own banners on the field.) The remaining one was torn down in a post OT victory celebration. The kids on the field behaved exactly as one would expect after a hard fought emotional victory. The PVI parents came over and stood where the confluence of all players and fans had to walk through to get to lot and started saying things to and/or loudly about the DM kids. DM had a post game meal in the pavilion set up for the kids. The kids take their stuff to their cars and then go eat. It is a public parking lot and everyone from both teams has cars parked next to each other. The PVI parents continued approaching them and yelling at them into the parking lot. Testosterone fueled over-exuberant teenagers (in the afterglow of a win where the parents came and desecrated their field pre-game) responded with words and only words to the parents. A PVI mom shoved a sophomore DM player and continued to yell at him. The DM baseball players, who were heckling the the PVI bench during the game, were there but their only physical contact was to restrain others, other than one of them pushed a larger PVI dad back who pushed the baseball player first. One DM boy, who is rather tall and was standing with his back to the PVI parents to prod sophomore, who had been already been shoved, towards the team tailgate when a PVI mother tried to walk through him to get to the kid. That boy blocked the woman from getting to the boy even though she tried to get through him. One PVI father had to be restrained by his own friends and was continually yelling while being restrained.

The one good thing that can be said is that the PVI coaches smartly kept their players out of the parking lot behind the bathroom building away from the action. He politely asked people to clear the area so that he could safely escort the players to the bus without further incident. The DM trainer came and cleared the remaining DM students.

The police came shortly after the incident was over and hearing the loud celebration went to the pavilion where the kids were now eating. After assessing the situation, he left without taking any action as the offending parents were no longer there.

So to answer the question, yes PVI parents grabbed, shoved and put their hands on high school aged players and others were retrained from doing so. If not for the actions of PVI coach, the DM trainer, and ironically the heckling student section kids, things could/would have been far worse.

I would agree with the Neutral observations.

Landon owns Bullis!! Bullis will never win anything until they play as a team.

The coach of PVI is a class act, and it’s a shame that his reputation will be affected by these parents. If he was smart, he would suspend the players of the parents involved. That is the only consequence that they would take seriously.

when people make up fake accusations of racial slurs, it tells you all you need to know.

You're right - some teens fired up after a game would force any reasonable adult to behave like an a@@ an actually come close to assault of a minor. How is that not obvious??

Please change those rankings. Bullis beat DM, has 3 losses which are "good losses" compared to DM which has 4 losses.
