If DC was such a hell scape, then why do Trump's wealthiest cabinet members live in DC. Hell, Stephen Miller lives in DC. If it was so dangerous you would think he'd live in VA. DC is one of the most educated cities in the country. Logic should tell you that people do not live in fear here.

The places with the most crime is seeing very few federal troops. Make that make sense.

Pro tip: “Beautiful” cities do not look up dish soap behind cages.

Y’all have been living with high levels of crime so long you don’t even see it anymore.

Yup, no crime at all in your beautiful rural GOP towns.

Did you read the part where he was sentenced to 18 years in prison and forfeited his house? That’s the rural town difference.

Are you ignorant to the fact that Democrats routinely contribute to the demise of gun control legislation, or are you purposely being dishonest?

What Democrats in DC did that? But sure there is political blame on all sides. GOP is in control now so they can start taking action on gun control - I would fully support that.

Manchin-Twoomey 2013 bill:

4 Republicans voted for it.

5 Democrats voted against it, Montana Sen. Max Baucus, Alaska Sen. Mark Begich, North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, Arkansas Sen. Mark Pryor and Nevada Sen. Harry Reid.

If you do not think this will happen you have lost the plot long ago.

Dictators do not allow their subjects to have guns.

This.

Wake up, everyone.

the city just put out a note to the ANCs asking for projects the national guard can work on

is this really the best use of national taxpayer resources and military personnel?

No. We’re going to have to actually vote the Council out.

I will say, the one thing in DC that the city was quick to respond to was rate abatement requests. Did not mean that they were successful, but they came out and searched for the holes and put poison down them very quickly after every request.

The larger issue is litter and homes and businesses that don't keep their garbage secure.

That is absolutely absurd. But sure, the NG can install some bike lanes. That would be great.

Nobody wants the NG here so we are perfectly happy for them to go away.

If you don’t live in DC, why do you care? Take care of your own city/town and leave DC to take care of itself. If you don’t like DC, don’t visit - we’ll be just fine.

I think this is great.

I frequently go to DC in the evenings, and I am thrilled about this. Lots of areas have felt unsafe, and many friends have been ruffed up near the Stadiums.

How dare you rough up the spelling like that you ruffian.
