The “media” is not making Trump and the US look like losers, Trump is a loser and is taking the country down with him. |
I agree with you. Completely. I meant that to anyone with some perspective , the US is losing. |
I don't watch MSNBC. I do read the wall Street Journal, The Econmist and the Financial Times. The US got nothing but a higher fee paid to China, whicih will be borne by the US consumer. If you understand something other than that, please share it, with a reputable link. |
+1 |
If anything the media is normalizing this disaster. |
As a non-American, I agree. |
The Daily is a NYT podcast- sorry thought it was well known. Look in the podcasts app of your phone. Yesterday’s episode. |
DP. I'd only give written statements any weight. People say stupid things all the time. |
This. |
Hearing at the Court of International Trade re the lawfulness of the tariffs. A 3 judge panel with lots of questions. They weren't persuaded by the plaintiff's lawyer or the DOJ, no ruling was made from the bench.
We'll see. |
The longer the felon and couch boy are in office, our return to polite society is over. The aftershocks may hit us much later, too. We just don’t know yet. But, agree, the damage is done. |
DP. The NYT seems pretty pro-Trump lately. I canceled my longtime subscription after the election, so not going to listen. However — Bloomberg said it was a boon to China and “Xi got everyThing he wanted.” He refused to meet with the felon. If the NYT thinks China is desperate—they stand alone. |
Trump is doing everything he can to make the US a pariah on the global stage.

You guys don’t even realize how ridiculous you sound- now even the NYT is too conservative for you? You claim they “stand alone” but how would you even know if you’re only reading Bloomberg? I’m sorry but you need to get out of your bubble. Look, I don’t like Trump and think this whole trade war schtick is dumb but anyone remotely informed knows that China has some issues and it’s economy is heavily dependent on exports to the U.S. Clearly some folks in the Trump admin think they can exploit that but I’m not sure any of them are smart enough to properly execute. |
Trump changed his tariff policy over 50 times since the inaugural. That is nothing more than stock market manipulation. and according to reports this morning, he only pulled back because someone told him that "his people (ie MAGAs) were being harmed. Well, duh. |
