Can you summarize for those of us who can't watch?

I would highly recommend watching it later or at least the last 20 or so minutes.

There are text messages from 2014 where his assistant apologized for him kicking her.

She's not lying.

Neither is he. They both have the goods on each other. But proving how awful she is won't help him win this case.

He doesn't care about "winning" the case. This lawsuit was never about winning. Why do you think Johnny insisted that cameras be allowed in the court room, while Amber was opposed to that?

He just wants to get employed again, and he does that by showing the she's just as much at fault. It shifts the narrative from "Johnny is an abuser" to "Johnny and Amber had a volatile and unhealthy relationship." Your career in Hollywood can recover from the latter, but not the former.

I bet he's back in a blockbuster movie within 2 years.

NP. I have only lightly followed the trial, but if anything this farce makes me even less interested in seeing another Johnny Depp movie.

Well, you’ve made your mind up without considering the facts? ?? So stupid.

Are you the Heard friend who was kicked out of the courthouse a few weeks ago?

Huh. And I have gone completely in the other direction. Heard sounds crazy vindictive and completely unbelievable after the little I've read about. I am looking forward to another Johnny Depp movie and I've never really been a fan.

Also a NP.

They should both agree to drop suits. He has proven his point (that he did not abuse her)and should move on. She clearly has issues. He doesn’t need the money from her and she can’t pay it anyway. People will appreciate if he lets it go. No need to spike the ball.

No, I haven’t made up my mind on issues of liability in this particular trial. What I am saying goes to pp’s last point about Depp having another blockbuster movie within 2 years even if he doesn’t win this case. Most people are not following every detail of this trial. To the extent they are aware of it at all (which many are not - it is getting particular attention locally because the trial is local), many are getting at most a few snippets of information from headlines or the first paragraph of an article. They are not doing an in-depth analysis of the lines of questioning and legal arguments. That the legal battles between Depp and Heard are still going on and getting seemingly more absurd by the day probably isn’t endearing Depp to a whole lot of people, and some of the details that have made it into headlines about drinking, late arrivals on set, and blowing his fortune aren’t all that impressive. Whether he wins or loses, I don’t think any better of Depp now than I did before, and I sure as hell am not going to spend hours of my life watching trial video and reading online “legal analysis” to see if it changes my opinion of him. He’s not worth the time when there are so many other films and actors to watch.

I listened to the last 30 minutes today while it was happening, involving JD's cross, and I thought she was holding her own honestly. It was very clear she wanted AH to say that she was in the relationship for the money, had promised to pay the $7 mil from JD's settlement to charity and had not yet done so, and had also forbidden JD from donating the money to charity. I totally followed what Heard was saying about thinking JD had donated (out of the blue, without prior agreement) $200K of the settlement money to charity, and thinking it was weird that he would do that without agreement, because he would totally get the tax write off for himself, so like she said if he wanted to do that he should double the amount. (Who does that without some agreement in place first?)

I didn't think this cross was the big roast of AH you guys seem to think it was. And the testimony I'm listening to now, of AH's testimony re JD beating her up, from earlier in the day ... well it hits pretty hard, so to speak. And it comports with my knowledge of abusers. They are in their own world. They think they're right but they're not right. You set them off unintentionally.

And people he paid, on his own team, wouldn't call him on it. And his fans on this board refuse to see it. It's sad. I feel sorry for you.

LOL why is Amber so concerned with Johnny’s tax write off if its not about money? As long as the charities get the 7 million, what does it matter.

I feel sorrier for you. You don’t read rooms well.

Absolutely not. It's not his money to donate to charity (in part charity for abused people) in his own name. He's going to donate $7mil? No way. You don't see how controlling that is? Holding the financial purse strings at her expense? You aren't familiar with abusers I think - must be nice.

Assuming you're replying to 18:53 and if so, you're wrong. That pp is spot on. I've been watching from the start in binge spurts. Reading the room requires being in the room (watching the trial). Depp is a very bad manchild. His team is inappropriate and unprofessional. Whispering in eachothers ears holding hand to mouth/ear like kindergartners. Giggling, staring Heard down with nasty smirks. And the final cross exam was not at all what you think. Heard held her own. For a young gun female attorney trying too hard, she's burying her reputation. She was attempting to trap her with gotcha unsubstantiated claims and failed. Start listening to women who've been abused. Heard hasn't slipped once. Her attorney refuted Depp's young gun when she accused Heard of not providing pics of very single punch, kick, non consensual penetration with a BOTTLE. Pretty hard to record or snap a pic when your being raped by your husband.

It’s been discussed that Depp is staying at the Ritz in Tysons….has he been seen out anywhere? What about Amber? Where is she staying? Does he have her kid and nanny here, or is her kid in London? Can’t imagine how much this trial is costing each of them. 😳😳😳

Does *she* have her kid…. Typo.

Those photos of her face don't just look like she's been crying. Maybe they showed them to the cops on the small screen of a phone? You can see the discoloration of her eye and the area around her eye, as well as obviously on her cheek.

I've read a decent amount about the trial and it had definitely lowered my opinion of Depp. This weak case is clearly designed to punish and hurt her and must have cost millions in legal fees for both of them.

I'm never watching a Depp movie again, past or future. He's disgusting.
