I heard they got in the faces of DeMatha players and students. What’s the truth?

You’re on a message board where parents talk shit about kids and you’re asking for the truth😂🤣😂🤣

Would be very unsurprising if it was a parent from here that did it.

lol. I’m sure you’re right. I’m one too and I’d merge Tiers 1 and 2 (yes I know there’s now head to head but it was no blowout and tiers that have only one member offend my statistical senses), 3 and 4 (why Prep is above the others is beyond me), but otherwise agree with this order.

This makes no sense.

Many of these teams would be in the same tier.

Landon, Prep, and Bullis are all in the same tier and until Landon and/or Bullis beat Prep you can't say they are above Prep.

Did Bullis' top fogo play tonight? Interesting they lost to Landon. The Prep Bullis game next week will be interesting.

The princeton fogo played and lost all but 1 to the Michigan fogo

One could argue Gonzaga is in the same tier as Bullis, Prep, and Landon because they lost to all three by only one. Not sure how you don't understand why Prep is above "the others" as you state.

Stealing from another post:

Landon, Bullis, and Prep all beat Gonzaga by one goal.

Prep beat STA by 6. Landon only beat STA by 4.

Landon Beat SSSA by 14. Prep beat SSSA by 12. Bullis beat SSSA by 9.

Bullis beat Episcopal by 9. Prep beat Episcopal by 5.

These game scores just underline how similar these three teams are and how close their matchups will be. If you look at the one IAC team all three have played, then you could rank the teams as Landon #1, Prep #2, and Bullis #3.

Yeah I don’t think anything you’re saying is irrational, as far as it goes. But … for my part, comparing common opponents, when those opponents are clearly weak, relatively, only gets you so far. Some coaches clear the benches sooner than others. How were the goalies that day? The FOGOs? Etc. anything over 6 is a blowout. After that it’s sorta idiosyncratic to the point that parsing margins of victory are a little too much of a stretch.

Consistency is more predictable, and more reliable as a predictor of performance. GP has had an uneven season. Clearly, very talented group, as talented as any of these teams. But whether they play well together any given game, especially against quality, is less certain. Again, this is just my own take, it’s not personal, and reasonable people can disagree on what is relevant to such a calculus. And most importantly, it’ll be settled before the end of season anyway so this is just fun thought exercises after all.

Thoughts from Landon/Bullis game:
Landon fogo was the main difference. Dominated whoever Bullis put in.
Landon plays much more team oriented on both offense and defense.
Landon plays much more disciplined on offense.
Landon coaches much much better than Bullis coaches. It’s not even close here.
Landon clearly has a philosophy and structure.
Mahar had moments, but that is all.
Better team won.

GC is legit.

Amazingly, the best goalie, LSM and attack play for the same team and that team is no where near the best team in the IAC.
