pretty sure any non-partisan knew this to be true all along. Glad he is not quitting - never understood why Lee bailed so quickly. Embarrassing yes, but let the voters decide. |

PP again. Just have to say it drives me nuts that teens sext even after you warn them not to do it. (Dd has been there, done that, and rued the day.) But at least teens have the excuse that they're not fully mature. How could a friggin' grown up not figure this out! Then again maybe all politicians have the emotional development of teenagers. Yeah that's it. |

I'm a pretty partisan liberal and eve to me it seemed pretty obvious that this was the most likely story. I was hoping he'd wise up and admit it, since that;s the only way he might get over it. My guess is that most people understand the instinct to deny an error and then the embarrassment to admit you lied. Even those who have never done so themselves (unfortunately, I'm not one of them) have seen it happen enough to realize it's a common human failing. At least he looked genuinely ashamed, rather than trying to come up with some new excuse for why it was okay to lie about it. |

Actually, that's quite true. Wien (pronounced veen) means Vienna in German, which is why a Vienna sausage is called a wiener (but not in Vienna), from whence the slang for a penis. Wein (pronounced vine) means wine or vine in German, but the verb weinen (pronounced vine-en) means to cry (presumably related to whine), so his name means someone who tends to cry, as he did during his press conference. Maybe if his parents had taught him to pronounce it right, with an I sound, not an E, he would have had less of a penis obsession. |
