I've never been east of RCP

Anonymous
I've lived in DC for over 10 years and I've never been east of Beach Drive. All my time has been spent in my Upper NW nabe, Georgetown and occasional trips to Bethesda Row. I have no desire to go to Adams Morgan or Logan Circle or other "trendy" neighborhoods. Am I out of touchand missing out?

You are out of your ****ing mind. Are you kidding? Trying to incite a DCUM riot? What is your goal here? This better not be for real.

You are funny though I will admit that I live on Capitol Hill and can't remember the last time I went to NW outside of downtown (for work). Your traffic is horrendous!!! Is there really anything over there? Maybe the zoo but I don't even find that so great.

Nope. Not trolling either. The whole Brookland thread got me thinking about this and I realized I've never needed to go anywhere over there.

I have a similar story:
In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all shootin some b-ball outside of school
When a couple of guys
Who were up to no good
Startin making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air'

Yes you are out of touch and missing out. Why bother living in DC at all?

Why don't you start with something easy like visiting the Lincoln Memorial.

I'm not offended that OP never leaves upper NW, but I am upset by the use of the idiotic word "nabe."

OP I'm fine with you staying where you are. Don't need you on the east side, you would only bring us down.

You've lived here for ten years and you have never seen the monuments or gone to the Smithsonian. I call BS.

Do you even have any conception of where Rock Creek Park is and which neighborhoods lie East of it?
You've never been to Dupont Circle?
Foggy Bottom?
The White House?
The Mall?
Never driven up Connecticut Avenue? Massachusetts Avenue?
I find it hard to believe you leave your house.

Maybe she means east of the river, which would be entirely different and believable.

Ok I'm excluding the monuments of course. Everyone has driven down constitution ave or been to the smithsonian. I'm talking about places like Adams Morgan or Columbia Heights or U street. Those places are foreign to me.
