There were two sets of taser marks on her. That's how they got her to go quietly. They had been at a Christmas party--the intruder could have entered at any point in time and written the note while they were at the party--could have rummaged through the house and seen a pay stub with the bonus amount on it. They might have even been planning to just rob the house, then stumbled on that info and hatched the plan for the ransom and things got out of hand quickly. The bank teller could have even tipped off a boyfriend or whomever, or another bank customer could have overheard how much the deposit was. There are so many ways someone could have found the exact amount of the bonus, and had plenty of opportunity to write a note. That house was big--they could have been in there with the family and no one would have known. |
Yeah, I've never seen anyway attach their e's to their t's like that. Totally distinctive. Any theory for what happened *must* contend with the clear evidence that Patsy wrote the ransom note. |

I do that with my t’s and e’s. I must have written the note. |
I attach my e to t that way. |
Isn't it possible someone other than Burke or John or Patsy did it, but Patsy wrote the ransom letter to cover for that person for some reason?
|
I can only see Patsy doing it for John or Burke. Especially Burke since he would be her only child after JB’s death and Patsy’s ovarian cancer treatment. It is kind of a stretch for me, but I suppose if there was some pedo ring as some have alleged and Patsy was scared of that tarnishing the family reputation she may have written the note. |

The cobwebs were explained in the 20/20 special by noting that there is no way of knowing when that picture was taken. The police botched the case so severely that they didn't do all the evidence gathering they were supposed to and those pics have no date. Also, the special showed how quickly a spider could have built that web - in a matter of minutes. And another poster pointed out, she was tased which is how she got her to go quietly. |
In your theory, why do you think the robbers molested JB? I could see how a robber could murder JB in the heat of the crime, but to also molest a child? I know that robbers have been known to rape, but child rape is at a whole different level of pedophilia and I think would have been the primary focus of the crime. In your theory, the robber found JB downstairs eating pineapple in the kitchen, murdered her with a stun gun, molested her, and then left? And the robber was also a child pedophile and managed to enter and exit the house with not a trace. Why didn't the robber steal anything? Either the robber would have gone for the gold by attacking the parents to find the good stuff or they would have at least tried to take something from downstairs for their efforts. Yet nothing was taken and there was no evidence of disturbance (e.g. rummaging through drawers, looking behind pictures, etc.). |
I think the brother did it and that he had been abusing his sister prior to killing her--and I think the parent were aware of this and were trying to get him to stop.
I think he killed her accidentally in a dispute and the parents were so distraught (trying to protect him and themselves because they were aware of the abuse) that they staged a "weird" crime scene and got lucky because the police were inept. |
Ha ha - I was coming on here to say the same thing. |
I think so too. Brother had/has issues. |
