But she WAS sexually assaulted. Brutally.  Sorry to bring this up but she was penetrated by a broken paintbrush. It was f-ing awful. And the crack her on skull was something like 8 inches. I mean it was insane. I can't picture a 9 year old doing that, and I can't picture loving parents finding her dead cracking her skull more and then sexually assaulting her? Come on. That is what is a bridge too far for me. [/quote]

I agree that the heinous nature of the injuries on JB seem to point to an intruder because there was no evidence of abuse within the Ramsey household.  But how could it be an intruder?  There was no evidence of forced entry.  There's a theory an intruder came through a basement window but the crime scene pictures showed undisturbed cobwebs.  But let's say an intruder got into the house that way.  How did the intruder get control of JB in the house without her screaming making enough noise to garner attention?  If JB was eating pineapple in the kitchen when the murderer found her, surely a stranger would have caused her to scream hysterically.  Yes it was a big house, but still that's odd.  And then after the molestation and murder, the killer wanted to stick around the crime scene so he went upstairs near the bedrooms to write a 3 page ransom note on Patsy's notepad and with Patsy's pen before departing?  And this pedophile murder knew to ask for ransom in the exact amount of the dad's Xmas bonus?  It's just downright bizarre on every level.[/quote]

The cobwebs were explained in the 20/20 special by noting that there is no way of knowing when that picture was taken. The police botched the case so severely that they didn't do all the evidence gathering they were supposed to and those pics have no date. Also, the special showed how quickly a spider could have built that web - in a matter of minutes.
