???? We probably would have never heard of them, since I don't think the Amish are big on starring in reality tv shows.

I'm sure the pitchforks will come out again though.

As a society, we don't judge a situation based on what a vicitm has to say about it. The parents of the dead 8 year old in the Boston bombing asked that his killer not be given the death penalty. He was given the death penality anyway.

Men who molest children are a danger to the community, I appreciate that his sisters want to move on with their lives and that they want to continue earning a paycheck from TLC, but they don't get the final word.

Megyn asked them if the other two sisters had moved on and forgave Josh; they said yes.

"And the babysitter?"
"Yes."

Apparently, Megyn Kelly is the only lawyer who is unfamiliar with the concept of hearsay.

Excellent article. "You were listening to a cleverly crafted, daddy-and-husband-approve message." Exactly.

Seriously? they put forth the concept to other victims that molestation is minimal, and not a big deal. This interview will harm and haunt people.

There are like three Amish reality shows.

Face it, folks. For most of you posting on here, NOTHING said by anyone in the Duggar family would satisfy any of you.
It is almost as if you take joy in condemning others.
I hope and pray that none of you have anyone in your family who goes through trials in life - drugs, alcohol, or other.
Your hatefulness will do nothing to help that person heal.

Unfortunately, you really can't take much of what these two young women say at face value. They almost certainly believe every word they are saying. They've been raised in a misogynistic, "women are to blame for men's feelings of lust", second class citizen, baby-making only, cult. We can speculate all we want about them being coached for this interview, but given their upbringing, it probably wasn't necessary.

I've had plenty of family going through trials, alcohol, joblessness/homelessness, and one who committed child sexual molestation. That last family member is in prison, btw.

There's not much the Duggars would say that would help, after reading the police report, besides admitting that they maybe didn't act quickly enough or do enough for the victims.

It all happened over 10 years ago, and maybe these two were the ones who were asleep. Maybe it was only the youngest ones who were groped under their clothes while awake. Maybe to these girls, it was all so minor they've moved on and let everything fade from their memory.

If they feel like forgiving him, that' s up to them. I do think it is minimizing what happened to state that he was just "curious" or "going through puberty." That's not an excuse, and what he did was not normal behavior. He was obviously disturbed, and in addition to locking doors, etc. hopefully the family obtained appropriate psychological counseling for both Josh and the victims.
