Duggar son allegedly molested girls including sisters

I think Jill and Jessa did wonderful tonight. My heart went out to them, they are being victimized 100 times over now.

I'm sure the pitchforks will come out again though.

Now, I'm a conservative Christian and I understand forgiveness. (Not as conservative as the Duggar fam, but still on the conservative side.) However, I think the parents have a poor understanding of forgiveness in this situation. It's ok to still have your guard up after you've forgiven someone. You forgiving a person does not mean they won't hurt you again. This girl is brainwashed. If my son did that to his sister or any other child, I would separate them immediately and figure out something. I would NOT force them to be friends and pretend to be one big happy family.

I think it's paternalistic of you to decide how the girls should feel. If the incidents happened when they were young (5?) and were isolated incidents (there were a handful? It wasn't a routine thing.) it's entirely possible that they didn't really grasp what had happened. As such, it's not far fetched for the girls to forgive him. They might think he's a creepy weirdo, but that doesn't mean they *must* hate him. But you seem to think that you know better and feel compelled to dictate how the girls should feel. Newsflash: holding onto anger isn't healthy. Forgiveness is always the best approach. There was a video online last night of a man hugging and forgiving the young woman who killed his cyclist wife because she was texting while driving. I suppose you think that man was brainwashed too?

I think people see the grown ass man instead of the kid who committed these acts, and that's confusing their emotions and promoting additional outrage.

A person accidentally killing someone is different than a teenager fondling his prepubescent sister.

How does it feel to be out from under your rock?

Either their parents or a media consultant was just off-screen-they kept looking at someone off to Megyn's side.

One of them had her script in her lap. They were completely coached. I can't imagine what it must be like to be brainwashed in a cult like that. Awful.

They are so isolated that they don't understand mainstream culture. IMO. The one who made the point that the parent company of the magazine that printed the police report also made porn...so what? Porn is legal. Molestation and incest are not. They don't even understand that. (And, are we supposed to believe she wasn't fed that very random info as a 'line"?)

When are they airing the interview installment with Josh? Saving him for last, I assume?

Haha. There's no interview with Josh. He apologized, there's nothing more for him to say.

Are you serious!? They aren't interviewing him when they interviewed the parents, sisters, dog and mailman
about him? That is like some kind of wacky hearsay journalism.

Well they couldn't force him into an interview.

That was TOTALLY TLC's coaching. They have a lot of $$ invested in that family. They did the same thing (coaching) with Kate Gosselin during her divorce. All her media appearances were heavily coached.

Or the parents could have hired a PR Rehab firm. But I don't think so, because I think a PR firm wouldn't have done such a terrible job.

They contacted a or firm, and the firm turned them down. One of their stipulations was the family had to admit they made a mistake, and the family refused.

Yeah-they did a great job remembering their scripts and telling more lies to cover it all up in hopes of keeping their TLC gravy train rolling-they did splendidly.

Those 2 girls are so so far removed from reality that it is revolting!

What if instead of whatever religion they are, they were Amish?
