Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS)
Another magnet doesn’t mean it would be anything like TJ which is a governor’s school. Doubt it would be of interest to kids who want TJ. The program they described seemed much more academy style offerings. |
I dont know what that is, can you post them here? |
| There is going to be pushback, people don't want to move from CVHS to Westfield. |
If they are giving rising 8th,9th and 10th graders a chance to stay at their high school, it gives the parents of kids currently in elementary school time to figure out an alternative if that is what they want. That also means no students currently at CVHS will have to transfer. |
| Option B does nothing for Oakton kids, so that'll be quickly eliminated. |
I don't do Facebook. Can you please copy over to Imgur and post here? |
| Can someone please post the links to the maps? I don't now why DCUMers are such jerks about not posting things here and instead pointing us to their special Facebook group. I don't have a Facebook account, I'm certainly not going to create one for this. |
i think that is only for kids moved to the new school. rising 8th graders can stay. riding 9th graders would move to westfield, rising 10th-12th could stay |
| centreville loses 362 kids to westfield in every scenario. seems like that’s happening. i doubt they bring south lakes to 80% |
| Why does option D have an Oakton island? |
Thank you |

| Interesting - two of the scenarios have Fox Mill Woods going to this new school, while one has Crossfield staying as is, and another has most of Crossfield going to the new school but FMW staying at SLHS. Do ALL scenarios have Fox Mill ES going to KAA?? |
No. Scenario 1 was clearly tailored for Meren. |
