Arlington moms at McLean tryouts are 🔥 |
McLean dads are NOT 🔥 |
neither are the moms. that was fake news |
Have any offers gone out for 2014 yet? |
Did it seem like 2014 had fewer kids trying out than last year? |
Their top teams are pretty full and packed. Not much room and very hard to break in. You may want to have backup options for tryouts. |
2014G have always seemed to attract more kids to tryouts than other age groups; not sure why and this year is no exception. Each year, the 2014s have taken in some girls from other clubs and they've gotten stronger each year. There's still a solid core that's homegrown from MYS Day 1, which is impressive given their chaotic U9 year. Next year will be the first year for the entire age group to have a stable coaching situation, which is impressive given everything else that is going on. Makes me wonder if they'll have better success keeping this age group together for GA. |
Thanks McLean 2014G Dad for the summary. |
What was so unstable about the coaching situation this year or last year? |
Ummmmm... losing DB last year (who pretty much developed the uLittles girls side) and losing your TD this year to The Onion. |
We didn’t bother for our 2014 son. He’s on a top team now, but not one that is quite as strong as McLean. We figured the odds of breaking in were slim to none. It seems like next year is when there will be more movement for 2014 as kids try for the higher level leagues. |
Exactly! McLean is packed in tight in their U12 and below, but as soon as they hit U13 and above they are desperate for talent. Perhaps that is something they need to address before considering them. Look for a club that is more evenly talented from young to older. |
That is a funny way to spell “recruited”. |
Huh? Not talking about recruiting, we're talking about coaching stability. Try and keep up with the conversation. |
LOL previous poster was stating that DB didn't develop, he supposedly recruited. Keep Up. LOL |
