I have read she has actually hurt up coming artists with the way her handled the business. Here is a law school talking about how contracts have changed for the worse for artists because of how Taylor’s team handled the situation. She just made the system more capitalist.

Yep, I’m sure tons of parents that we don’t hear about our pouring money into their kids to become famous, weather it’s America idol or whatever to make their dreams come true but they aren’t Taylor so the hater jealousy people that think she doesn’t write her own songs had to find something else wrong with her

Most normal parents, even though they are supporting their kid on American Idol, aren’t arranging secret parties for their teenager to generate interest, or creating a web page about their 12 year old daughter to support her music career. They exploited her, even if at 12 she said she wanted to do it. I can’t imagine doing that to a tween. Even beyond that, most parents aren’t buying up their child’s albums or have the savvy to negotiate business contracts for their child or claiming that they are their child’s therapist.

He’s not my type but I would not call him dumb. I’ve listened to his podcast, and he’s able to be personable and connect with people. He did a good job on SNL. He strikes me as someone who can take a joke and has a decent sense of humor.
