If you can’t tell the difference between a stupid personal lie showing you witnessed history as a young person because it sounded cooler vs. lying repeatedly about US statistics and issues to win a national race, I feel sorry for you. We were all ready for it to be done by then. The outcome seemed unfair but at no point was anyone worried about having a peaceful transition of power. Once it was done, it was done.

I really don't understand who people were impressed with Vance. He said things confidently, but it was all ridiculous nonsense. Building housing on federal lands in the middle of nowhere in the West will fix metro area housing prices? Tariffs would not cause inflation? Trump saved Obamacare? Trump transferred power peacefully? Crime is up and the economy is down? He wouldn't acknowledge that Trump lost. He wouldn't acknowledge that Trump killed the bipartisan border bill. He wouldn't acknowledge that immigrants who have temporary legal status are legally here. He absurdly blamed immigrants for every imaginary or exaggerated problem that he lied about. He repeatedly implied that the VP has absolute control over everything in the world. I can't think of one thing he said that was based on facts or any intelligent insight, wisdom, or analysis of facts. He just said bullshit non-stop to the point that it was impossible for Walz to respond to all of it.

I don't believe a word out of any of their mouths. They all lie to suit their own agenda and will say anything if they think the naive or gullible listeners will believe it. Biden and Trump did the same. They all lie and pretend to have been places and done things that they think make them sound good to prospective voters. They know they will get fact checked but they don't care because the 50% of the population in both parties with lower IQs or a lack of critical thinking just believe whatever they hear.

It is one thing to lie or "misremember" something from decades ago.
It is entirely another to fabricate things that didn't happen during the Trump administration or to deny a policy position that has been clearly articulated on your own website or on video/audio.

They really are not the same. And, we should be expecting more from elected leaders. Given Vance/Trump a pass or equating them with the "gotcha" on Walz is not serving our democracy.

Debates are a mockery - for fools as entertainment. It's not authentic at all. You really want to know a candidate, you have to look at their backgrounds, voting/results/history, interviews that took place in the past to find out who they actually are, etc.

The fact that so many people put this much stock in this debate to determine their final selection for office is so sad to me. For what it's worth, I do think Vance "won" the debate but it's totally meaningless.

I can't believe that y'all actually put any stock in these debates whether the VP or POTUS. I mean, you know it's all manufactured, right?

No. Vance is flexible and is able to adapt his behavior to the context. Trump also is capable of both rage-tweeting and relatively calm speeches (but he is far less able to memorize a script than Vance is, and can't remain calm and on point when challenged.).
(Except when he's trying to have a normal casual human conversation.)

You lie. Vance stated he didn't know he'd be fact checked on air. It's plastered all over news and social media. You also made up a statistic and showed that you engage in cognitive dissonance. Way to go Trump voter with an agenda!
