They followed each other on social media and they bantered as well. Shortly before filming started when Blake was pregnant Justin had posted something about his workout and she was like “impressive but try that when you’re eight months pregnant” or something along those lines. they were goofing around with each other.

Clearly on set, they must’ve had a good relationship at one time if she was inviting him to run lines while she was pumping and sending silly texts signing them x etc. Now that clearly is not an invitation to do more and I’m not at all saying that she did not have other unwelcome moments on set, but at one point, they clearly got along, and she felt comfortable with him.

It seems like what may have happened is that there were disagreements on set, and Ryan Reynolds got involved and I think that’s when things started to fall apart. It is so strange how involved he was in a movie he was never formally attached to, having the final editing cut, having a formal meeting with Sony and the production company in his apartment, where he screamed at Justin, which sounded totally off the rails BTW doing so much to promote the film as well as writing scenes.

I wonder if when he was jealous or felt threatened by Justin. He strikes me is very controlling. It just seems like people got too comfortable and professional lines were crossed and then Blake and Ryan took advantage of that when they wanted to get their way.

I don’t know if he will be successful in the suit but it absolutely seems that the New York Times article left out key context in their relationship and Blake’s side in this, not to mention, Ryan Reynolds harassing behavior of his own.

Good analysis

it’s possibly the Heath guy is the sketchy one. The only allegation in the complaint that seemed legit to me was him ogling her in the trailer. I wonder if in Hollywood it’s normal to be a bit casual about changing in front of others, but he pushed the boundary.

Is this Heath's first involvement in a Hollywood project? I think they're both creepy but Justin may know when to pull back

I think Heath, Sarowitz and Baldoni were all being sketchy. The 3 of them are all Baha'i and part of Wayfarer. Steve has the deep pockets and apparently is doing whatever he can, by any means necessary, to protect Wayfarer, and got caught redhanded playing dirty with the PR nonsense.

what does their religion have to do with it?

Because many regard it as a cult and you have these 3 guys who are all part of ,or own Wayfarer, all over everything on set all the time, harassing the cast and crew, and it starts to smell real bad.

This is absolutely ridiculous and bigoted. Dislike them all you want but this post isn't okay. And fwiw Blake Lively's ex, Penn Badgley, is also Baháʼi. So is Rainn Wilson. Two of the nicest people in Hollywood.

I’ve met many Baha’i through the years and I have heard a bad word uttered about the religion until now. It’s really gross. Perhaps JB is in a cult but Baha’i is not a cult.

Nobody likes hypocrites. It's not so much the religion as its adherents who preach one thing and do another.

So every religion that ever existed, and you as well pretending to have good values here defending a woman while slamming an entire religion that did nothing to her?

We are talking about 3 guys (Baldoni, Heath, and Sarowitz) who wear their religion on their sleeve and own a production company inspired by their religion yet act exactly opposite. If you want to talk about other religions and people being hypocritical by all means start that thread.

No it's not. It says a lot about his character. He's a fake feminist ally amongst other things. What he says and what he does are in conflict. As the Times author summed up:

"Baldoni was probably the most conflicted person I have ever interviewed. On the one hand he was a devoted husband, present father, an ever-listening and learning male feminist. On the other he was a materialistic, fast-car driving porn addict who objectified no body as much as his own."

You wouldn't be latching on to religion so hard if he were Lutheran or Methodist. I'd examine that. Because this sentence could probably be said about many, many men in Hollywood.

I think YOU have decided to talk about that. I don't see anyone really jumping on the "it's a cult's fault" wagon here. It's just a strange angle.

What a horrible article.

He spent time with him and is entitled to his opinion.

It's not that complicated. Pervy men pretend to be feminists all the time. Look at Weinstein.

Jian Ghomeshi, of course Big Ears Teddy knew better.

nobody has made REMOTELY similar accusations about Baldoni, even taking Lively’s complaint at face value

Both fake feminists and hypocrites.

Baldoni has co-hosted a podcast The Man Enough with journalist Liz Plank and Jamey Heath, the CEO of his production company Wayfarer, who is also named in Lively’s complaint, since 2021. The podcast explores “what it means to be a man today and how rigid gender roles have affected all people. Following the complaint Plank posted on Instagram to her 631,000 followers explaining that she would no longer be appearing on The Man Enough podcast.

“I’m writing to you today to let you know that I have had my representative inform Wayfarer that I will no longer be co-hosting The Man Enough podcast. Thank you for trusting me with your hearts and stories, for holding space for me, and for making this show what it was.” “As this chapter closes for me, I remain committed to the values we’ve built together. Thank you for being here, for trusting me, and for being by my side for the last four years.”

Plank did not explicitly refer to the allegations against Baldoni and Heath directly but added:

“We all deserve better, and I know that together, we can create it. I will have more to share as soon as I continue to process everything that has happened. In the meantime, I will continue to support everyone who calls out injustice and holds people standing in their way accountable.”
