Nothing like a white woman calling a person of color sneaky 🤣. White people have been calling minorities deceptive and untrustworthy since the dawn of humanity. |

Hi everyone. I am the “first Asian lady” who was approached. Hopping on here because folks are telling me about crazy allegations of racism.
I just want to clarify—I don’t personally know the individual who approached me. Yesterday was the first time I’ve ever met her. But I don’t think she is racist nor did I feel attacked due to my race. Please do not call or imply that she is racist on my behalf. I agree with her that this is a hot mess all around (and, yes, this is Dr. Taylor’s mess). I think we should all give each other grace for this situation we are all in. If this person is open to it, I am happy to chat over coffee in real life. And as I told her in person, I admire her bravery for speaking up. Don’t make this into something it’s not. And if that’s too vague for you: stop with this narrative that she hates Asian women. Thanks from an Asian woman. |

Just here to say that I love that the “white lady” and “first Asian lady” have come to clear things up.
Truly, thank you. This thread today has felt like people looking to stir sh!t up and antagonize one another without even having been at the forum. We are used better than this and we could do a helluva lot more together to fight the patriarchy. So, thank you ladies for your dignity. |
| Also, now 88 pages to go. Let’s goooo! |
I'm not the other woman from last night and I am, indeed, a supporter of Option H (modified) who has been dismayed at some of the tactics and messages in the AntiH group but I applaud you here. This is actual class. I wish your comrades had half this much grace. While it would have still been a disaster of a process, it wouldn't have been divisive in this way. So thank you. Truly. Credit where credit is due. |
Thank you so much for this statement. I may have a different viewpoint on H, but I have nothing but admiration for you coming here to clear things up. |
What is the point of that conversation beyond to bully her into agreeing with you? What is wrong with her wanting her kids in a new building that is safer and free of mold? |
I suspect a lot of that small audience didn't even have students at the school or future students, and the majority is fine with Crown, but too scared to speak up as they will get bullied and attacked. That auditorium should have been full if that many parents opposed it. |
| Do we really think they’ll make a final decision on the 26th???? |
PP: you will need to ask the white woman what the point of the convo was. She was the one who approached the Asian lady screaming. There is nothing wrong with her wanting her kid in a new building. As one of the candidates (Creed) said, if she wants to go to Crown, she can go to Crown by herself. 🤷♂️ |
I don’t think there is anything wrong with a non parent community member having input. Just my two cents. |
They certainly will. |

Quite possibly no. My guess is the BOE will want to give a few more months for community feedback and let tempers cool. Also, without a vote, no lawsuit can be filed, so a delay may cause supporters of legal action to worry about other things, and slow down any fundraising. The BOE may push the vote to late June or early July when families are on vacation and not thinking about school. It can then vote quietly. |
