Isn’t that why he bought it? Twitter was too valuable a tool for marginalized voices trying to organize and right wingers didn’t appreciate that their toxicity was at least lightly policed there. It had to be destroyed for the benefit of the right wingers, and since Elon is a sociopath and since the overlap between “sociopathy” and “right winger” is huge, he is happy to do their bidding.

Why should Apple (a corporation) be answerable to Elon about their advertisement on twitter. Can companies not decide where they put their own money?

He reminds me so much of my son on the autism spectrum when he was an obnoxious, know it all teenager and early 20s who thought he was smarter than everyone and didn’t have the social awareness to understand he was being absolutely insufferable all the time. I don’t know if musk is a sociopath but at times I wondered if my son was.

Musk has high-functioning autism combined with a high IQ, and has talked about it. Posters, including myself, have touched on their relatives’ experience with the same combo and how behaviorally similar they and Elon seem to be. It’s just that Elon has a megaphone and billions of dollars.
