But I will say this: Britney was crazy then. Legit mentally ill. She was late teens and was completely out of control. Justin would bitch about how crazy she was constantly. She got some *unusual* piercings one night and he was ticked. He also was cheating on her hard core with a different girl or two every night. I witnessed this on many occasions until he dated Cameron then he behaved himself for a while.

But the way he acted all wounded and victimized with his Cry Me A River video was pure manipulation for exposure. Britney made Justin. JC was the talent. As far as celebs, he is the biggest jerk I ever met. For the record, Britney is just as she seems, sweet, genuine, simple, insecure, unstable and damaged.

Back then she was so gorgeous, it made you uncomfortable to stand next to her. But if she did not have that conservatorship, she would be dead y’all. Dead. She would’ve joined the 27 club long ago.

Why won’t you?

Because I am still good friends with some celebrities and I like to keep my friends. Since I don’t see or even know Justin or Britney anymore and have not seen them in 25 years, I don’t mind giving my decades old insight on this particular topic.

I enjoyed reading your take. How did you meet these people? Do you think they remember you?

Do you actually believe the troll? They haven't seen Britney since she was 14, but we're supposed to believe they know her personally? lol no.

She likely has Bipolar. She might also have a low IQ. Who knows.

I have a sister with bipolar who has an accountant for a husband, but if she were single, it would absolutely be a appropriate for her to have a conservatorship. She can't handle money and it stresses her out.

What an unfair thing to say about someone you don't even know.

I felt incredibly sad watching this documentary as a mother myself--it put a lot of what Britney was going through in perspective. Perspective I did not have when I was in my early 20s watching her completely fall apart before our eyes. It never really occurred to me until I watched this that there are a lot of parallels between Britney and Princess Diana--both suffered from mental health issues, both were basically abused by the media, both harassed incessantly by the paparazzi, and both framed as the problem in her relationships. And watching that interview with Matt Lauer now makes me sick. I remember watching that when it initially aired thinking what a mess she is. Now as a mother myself, I could not imagine the sadness I would feel having my ability as a mother scrutinized on national tv (by a man nonetheless), or the rage I would feel if my kids were taken from me. Britney should have an independent conservator. It was the right thing for her father to step in at the point of crisis because otherwise, she probably wouldn't have made it out alive. Now, she seems to have a good support system in place and should have the ability to decide who should manage her finances and self-care. It's sad that she is unable to make these decisions for herself and her family basically uses her for $. I hope the court eventually rules in her favor.

agree

Agree too. Also... (1) Appointing her Dad conservator at the outset could have saved her; (2) Her Dad has a massive conflict of interest; (3) Her Dad as conservator NOW is not beneficial or appropriate: all of these statements can simultaneously be true.

I know Brittney wants her father removed entirely, but does she object to Bessemer being a co-conservator?

It's what her lawyer was aiming to do. Hopefully this will create some accountability for her dad who is obviously just sponging off her estate. It sounds like a win for Britney, and a baby step towards removing her dad as co-conservator in the future.

Agree. Feel like this is a positive step.

Ps you can get Hulu for a month and then cancel, it’s only like $7. Or there’s a 7 day free trial. Also please watch Normal People, Pen15, and you’re the worst while you have it.

Poor woman. Seems like she just needed an antidepressant after her first child and to be left alone to control her own life.

If you are capable of headlining arenas and maintaining residencies in Vegas, you either don’t need a conservator or you’re being exploited by your conservator. Those are the only two options.

Is she still capable? By the looks of it, no. She doesn’t headline anymore. She hasn’t performed for about 3 years. Her own son said she will probably never sing or perform again.

She has very clearly stated that as long as her father remains a part of the conservatorship, she refuses to work/she will not perform. So that's why.

That stinks. I saw her at the MGM a few years ago, and she was clearly lipsynching but was absolutely great. I would totally go again.
