Sorry, are you referring to the incredible leg up that wealthy, mediorce white families get via legacy admissions, higher ED admit rate for full pay, recruitment for country club sports and admissions preference for expensive private schools?

If so, I agree. It's terrible how they've come to expect their privilege to be enforced/extended in all areas of life. Sad!


Plus athletic recruitments and racial preference for blacks and racial preference for Hispanics and fake Hispanics. Meantime, Asian Americans are actively discriminated on the basis of race.

OP your DS should make this decision. There is no wrong answer (I personally think he should check it off), so he should feel comfortable either way. This question may come up for him throughout his life in job applications and hiring, so he may as well start exploring how he wants to identify on paper now.
