Pence would give him everything he wants but without the stupidity and obvious corruption of Trump. If anything, he'd be more effective but with an even more business-friendly agenda.

If Mitch wants to keep his position, he should bring down Pence first and get another VP who could run if Trump crumbles. (See Spiro Agnew and Gerald Ford; shows an R could win.)

Pence's evangelical background is a put off to many Rs and Independents and that would be a big negative in a Presidential campaign.

I could see Romney, but Trump would fight hard against that. Possibly Haley. Don't see Mitch or Trump going for Kasich for VP.
