Exactly. You should see all of the gold toilets they put in the cabinet members' offices. Only the best for those a$$es!! |
+1 So was PP and other Trumpsters ok with it now because they think it happened then (even though it probably didn't happen)? |
So wrong on so many levels. I can't believe he's only paying back only $50K and acting like he's being a paragon of virtue. His private jet choices cost taxpayers 400K$. |
He should have been fired. Any normal GS who wasted this much $ would be in jail for felony financial mismanagement. |
They even hired some butt wipers. Every good poop needs a happy ending. ![]() |
They are now saying his flights may be closer to a million in taxpayer costs. And even that doesn't even include the cost of flying his aides and staffers along with him. And Scott Pruitt now too! Yet we don't have any money to help Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands? Trump Administration IS the swamp. |
And Zinke the interior secretary too--he took private jets to the Caribbean. And let's not forget our friend Mnuchin-who took a private jet to visit Fort Knox on the day of the eclipse wanted to take a private jet on his honeymoon (wife #3) |
Since this administrations likes to drop big news on Fridays, anyone want to give odds on Price resigning today? |
Take it away Josh Marshall:
"Trump’s election, by bizarre ironies and paradoxes and nonsenses, is an affirmation of early 21st century plutocracy. The big folks get everything: the private jets, the personal retainers and security details, everything nice. That’s part of the Trump package. And it seems to be being taken up as one of the privileges of many or most or all top-level Trump appointees." It's like an iron law: RepubliCONS are assholes. Trumptards are stupid assholes. |
Did anyone here mention Price should reimburse more than just $50,000? A pittance for what he has done. |
Absolutely. It's ridiculous that he offered to pay for HIS SEAT on chartered private jets that never should have been in the air for this in the first place. |
Did they explain how he arrived at the $51,000 figure? If it was wrong to charter the plane, then he's responsible for the cost of the whole plane. Pony up, Price. |
As discussed upthread, he was very careful in his statement to say that "the American taxpayer will not pay a dime for his seat on the plane." No matter that 8 or 9 other people travelled with him for each flight (including Kellyanne Conway) because he chose to travel private. |
I don't think it will happen today. No one qualified is going to want this job in this crazy administration, so they'd probably get a kook who would have a bruising confirmation hearing. |
And now the head of the VA and his wife went to the Ebledon finals on a trip we paid for. Lol. This is such a joke of an administration. Every single one of them lacks basic common sense. |
