Wow. Yeah, this is disgusting. There's a change.org petition calling for his resignation. It had about 1500 signatures when I checked yesterday. It's so sickening how overpaid he is considering that does so little and cares even less. Not to mention he's a huge liar.

Can someone post the link? I would like to sign!

Also if someone can easily post the link for the Parent March today in Rockville! It would be good to have it in this thread too in case people are not opening the Rape thread.

I am on my crappy phone and couldn't post the link.

Huge liar is right.

At least the beginning of the end. Legget is leaving. Achievement gap not going to close. Wasted resources. No transparency. Non taxpaying illegals flooding system. Time for change.

I was with a group of parents last night who are really pleased with him.

Curious.. what is it that they have been pleased with? He's been an utter failure in the way he has handled the Rockville High incidents. Complete lack of empathy, refusal to understand parents' legitimate concerns, just horrible.

Also curious as to what they were pleased with. He handled the student walkouts after the election miserably, doubled down on the school's sanctuary policy leading up to the inauguration, has been consistently condescending to all MCPS stakeholders at a handful of budget forums, and has given MCPS a bad reputation across the country with his poor handling of both crimes at Rockville High School. What exactly is his redeeming quality?

"Insist" all they want, but parents don't have that power.

Step down, we insist.
No.
Well then... okay.

I have a kid in private, but just curious:

When people say: "Public schools" what do they mean by public? Is it not like the schools actually belong to the public, right? Is it not like they can "decide" about things? Like in communism?

Go, Jack, you're done.
