Obviously abortion is murder, we're just deciding what someone gets to prioritize.

No, it's not murder. It's no more murder than a woman having her period each month, a man jerking-off, donating a kidney, or brushing your teeth.

Wait, what? Brushing your teeth. Well, brushing your teeth removes live cells inside your mouth. When you spit, you are ejecting those live, human cells into an environment in which they will cease to live eventually. Those cells each had the potential to become human life.

See how ridiculous your claim that it is murder is?

Also, murder means killing a human being. Tissue is not a human being.

How about an hour before a woman gives birth? A week? A month? When does it become murder in your mind?

Go back and read information about the concept of viability and actually become an informed citizen instead of spouting off ridiculous arguments.

I'll help you get started, "Roe vs. Wade, the 1973 case legalizing abortion, made fetal viability an important legal concept. The Supreme Court ruled that states cannot put the interests of a fetus ahead of the interests of the pregnant woman until the fetus is "viable." The court defined viable to mean capable of prolonged life outside the mother's womb. It said this included fetuses that doctors expected to be sustained by respirators. The court accepted the conventional medical wisdom that a fetus becomes viable at the start of the last third of a pregnancy, the third trimester, sometime between the 24th and 28th week (a pregnancy usually lasts 38 weeks). Because the point of viability varies, the court ruled, it could only be determined case by case and by the woman's own doctor. Even if the fetus is viable, the court said, states could not outlaw an abortion if the woman's life or health was at stake."

How about a premature baby who requires life support? Should parent be able to Murder them too?

I think it's up to the parents and their doctors to decide whether or not to continue life support for their preemie, not the government. If you are calling removing life support for a preemie murder, then you have serious problems.

Women have aborted their pregnancies since humans began roaming the world, and they're not going to stop even if the government takes away their access to safe procedures. Take a look at any country that has outlawed abortions and tell me there are no abortions there. Tell me there are no women dying or being mutilated in their desperate quest to abort an unwanted pregnancy. Tell me what a paradise it is in those countries for all the women forced to go through pregnancies they didn't want. Tell me it's a paradise for all the kids born into these circumstances.

I dare all anti-choice people to read up on Savita Halappanavar and tell me this is your idea of how a great nation treats its women. Shame on you.

Mother Nature is the biggest abortionist of them all. 50-75% of conceptions never make it to term.

They were only tissue.

Trying to equate the Holocaust with abortion is one of those tired, crazy anti-choice arguments. The Jews were full on persons. A fetus does not receive legal recognition until viability.

Jews did not have the legal status of person in nazi Germany. Nor did slaves in colonial America. See the point?

Now you're grabbing at straws with just plain stupid arguments.

I'll flip your tired reasoning around. What would have happened to that baby before modern technology created life support and it was left to the "will of god".

The point is that if you can easily allow someone to live and recover it's murder to deny them that. If a child got an infectious disease and the doctor gave the parent antibiotics that would cure them, would it not be murder for the parent to refuse to give them to the child?

And there it is, folks, in all it's misogynist glory: I don't care if women get killed seeking an abortion, that's the Punishment of Eve!

Remember this, sensible people who wouldn't personally get an abortion but support it at some level politically and are unsure what to call your position. If you think women dying (possibly leaving motherless children; most abortion seekers are already mothers) or being maimed or made sterile from an illegal abortion is a bad thing, join the pro-choice side and fight for every woman to have the right to decide what to do with her body.

You are correct. However, we're not talking about the past. We're talking about how these things apply to US laws today. No one is going around saying we should exterminate Jews or return to slavery. That's why these "equating" arguments are red herrings by anti-choice proponents.

NOBODY ABORTS THIRD TRIMESTER FETUSES UNLESS THEY ARE GENETICALLY INCOMPATIBLE WITH LIFE OR THE MOTHER'S LIFE IS AT STAKE
NOBODY
NOT ONE DOCTOR OR CLINIC IN THIS ENTIRE COUNTRY

Again: you don't care about the fetus, you care about controlling the sex lives of women.
