? You really don't think that she has had to work harder and be better than EVERYBODY to become who she is? I mean, look at Taylor Swift. Talentless. |
Interesting choice for comparison, as both "artists" are basically puppets whose name is their brand. No, I don't think that. I think there are plenty of artists who started with more talent but less advantage who have yet to attain half the success of either Beyonce or Taylor Swift. |
So you're going to put down Taylor Swift in order to raise Beyonce up? Different genres, but similar experiences growing up. Neither grew up poor or underprivileged and both had outstanding parents who advocated for them. Of course Beyonce had to work hard and be better, but I'm pretty sure in the music industry that is what you do. This is not so much the experience of the woman or black woman but of a SINGER. At age 16 she was hanging out with JayZ. Not so sure it was a crazy struggle for her once she made it... |
Yes, because Taylor Swift can't sing, can't dance, and has no stage presence. Beyonce is arguably the best pop singer of all time. She can also dance and perform. |
FIXED THAT FOR YOU. |

Beyoncé doesn't have a great voice...she has great computer technology and mixers. Listen to the difference in her "voice" from her early years and recent stuff...that's technology.
She is a great dancer. She's like Madonna in that regard: so-so voice, but a great performer. She can't play an instrument, so she really isn't a musician. She's a performer. |
Yo, Kanye, I'm really happy for you, Ima let you finish, but I just wanted to welcome you to DCUM! |
There's more to the Black experience than the struggle. It's racist to say that Beyoncé doesn't know what it's like to be a Black woman because she doesn't measure up to some negative stereotype - That Black women are "struggling, poor, unprivileged, disrespected, discriminated against [and] suffering". |
Beyonce is a great performer, probably the best. She is also the best lip syncer in the biz, and I mean that as a compliment. Most performers that dance just lip sync to the album track which makes the lip syncing obvious (for example, Britney Spears). Beyonce records a live track and lip syncs to that. She'll also leave a few lines out and will sing those live furthering the impression that she is singing the entire song live. It really is genius except for when she got caught (national album, drunk in love at the Grammys). |

Sorry here's the link |
Kinda depends on how you define "perform." |
|
She is no Whitney but she's definitely way better than Madonna. Come on.

Thanks for posting! She's no Whitney (possibly my favorite female singer ever, except for Etta James), and I much prefer Tina Turner to Beyonce; but Beyonce is certainly talented, and her performances and strength do remind me of Tina. |
+1 Far better than Madonna!! |
