The ice cream scene in Kramer v. Kramer, too. "Don't you do it."

Yes!!! And when she says "Affirmative".

Also, in The Blair Witch Project, the end with the room filled with creepy kids' hand prints. I can't see a child's hand print on anything without seeing that room.

Jason's eyes opening in the lake at the end of Friday 13th. I will not swim in a lake to this day because of it.[/quote]

Where I grew up, we had a campground that had a lake and it was called "Crystal Lake". I never never went back after seeing Friday the 13th. That was actually the first horror movie I ever saw in theaters.

One of the segments from the "Paris, j'taime" - I believe 16th arrodissment, the one with the nanny and her own baby vs. her charge. Heartbreaking. It is short and has I think only 2 spoken sentences and one song but speaks volumes.

YES. Saw this before I or anyone even knew who Jennifer Lawrence was and was blown away by her acting. When she had to reach into the water to feel her father's hand - OMG.

Exactly.

The Christmas morning scene in Stepmom. I cry every single time.

The crucifix part in The Exorcist terrified me.

The rape scene in Monster with Charlize Theron. I had to leave the theater because I thought I was going to be sick. I didn't even go back in to watch the rest.

When Mufasa dies in The Lion King.

The "i love you" speech in the car in Chasing Amy is one of my all time favorite movie scenes.

YES! I had forgotten about Stepmom. I saw it with my MIL and we were both sobbing at that scene.

God yes. With the cape and blanket ....

Are you my soulmate? I thought I was the only one who watched this (1000 times) and remembered it. Best made for TV movie ever.

the final scene in Priest, where the Priest begs forgiveness from the girl whose sexual abuse he wouldn't disclose because he was afraid of being outed

the final scene in the original Vanishing

We should meet. This movie and the book is seared into my soul.

I have cyberstalked Gennie James.

Anonymous wrote:Many scenes from Requiem for a Dream - Jared Leto's arm, the weird sex show scene with Jennifer Connolly and another woman, the pimp-drug supplier guy making Jennifer Connolly go down on him for H (she was so revolted and humiliated but did it anyway), the crazy Jared Leto mother scenes. That movie is impossible to wash off.

Slum dog Millionaire
The eye burning scene. Most disturbing thing I've ever seen.

Boogie Nights - Julianne Moore drunk/stoned crying after phone call about her daughter that apparently was taken away from her. Also the other actress (Heather Graham) calling Julianne Moore "Mom" when they were all emotional.

Terms of Endearment - the little boy putting the candy bar back when she doesn't have enough money to pay for groceries.

Muriel's Wedding - Muriel's friend suddenly becoming paralyzed "Muriel. I can't feel my legs." They were laughing hysterically, partying with their dates and then ... Ambulance time.

And the scene where Muriel's Mom kills herself in the back yard

Totally with you.

Also, Boogie Nights: when he's jerking off for a John at the end of the movie. He used to be a glamorous star, and then he was reduced to that.

Boogie Nights on the whole AND scene by scene was about as disturbing as it was entertaining.

Lawrence of Arabia

The opening scene as he prepares to ride his motor cycle and then rides it fast on a country road with the shadows from leaves flashing on his face until he crashes the bike and dies as he tries to avoid a couple of boys on their bicycle.

On Golden Pond, the grandson is on the bow of the boat guiding his grandfather through the shallow, rocky water.

Can I spin off my own thread? Wonder how a "What Television show scenes have stuck with you...."
