Has anyone ever met a celebrity?

Cindy Crawford. She was rude and dismissive but stunning. She was chatting with her friend about how tacky DC women were with their French tip manicures!

Geena Davis. Unfriendly. So tall. In that bad stage when she had bleached blonde hair, so she wasn't looking good.

Tom Arnold (ex-Roseanne husband). very funny and warm.

Jackie Stallone (Sylvester's mom). LOTS of plastic surgery.

Maria Shriver and her mom. Very polite and normal. Eunice was extremely wrinkled; I couldn't get over Maria's angular face.

Kevin Spacey. Shorter than expected, very very polite, completely uninterested in the ladies!

Ed Begley Jr. So nice and funny.

Spalding Gray (RIP). Amazing. My BFF and I crashed his backstage at the Kennedy Center and took him out drinking in G'town years ago. He was so cool.

I met Jessica Simpson at a meet-and-greet event before a concert with my bff. This was in '04, in the height of her Newlyweds days, right as she was gearing up for Dukes of Hazard. I was struck by how short she was (wearing very high heels, she was shorter than me, and I'm all of 5'3 in flats) and how skinny she was (tinnnnnny!).

She was really sweet. We hugged, and she told my buff and I that we were so cute. Still a highlight!

I saw "Janet" from Three's a Company and Sinbad (comedian) at an airport in L.A. I met Shemar Moore at my law school graduation - he was a friend of a classmate.

Pamela Anderson (wow, her ass...)
Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon (!)
Perez Hilton (ugh)
Half the cast of Law and Order (regular people)
Jason Priestly (REally nice)
Shannon Doherty (Nice)
Josie Maran (SI swimsuit model -- very nice)

Oh, this reminds me, I shared an elevator with Rudy Giuliani. It was a teeny tiny elevator in a boutique hotel, and he had two bodyguards with him, so we were all practically touching. Clinton really is. I met him briefly at a G20 event when he was President, and I was really struck at how he shook my hand and looked me in the eye and made me feel, for 20 seconds, that he was really interested in knowing me. It was astounding, the amount of charisma he had.

I could have written that last PP about Clinton, except it wasn't a G20 event. Met him shook his hand, exchange just a couple of words about education. I have never been in the presence of anyone like him. He is electrifying.

I was sitting in an airline first class lounge with Daphne Zuniga when Melrose place was huge.. She was scuzzy, smoking, cussing and just really low class (and looked greasy).
