And ah, the potential irony...

Yep, I called it again.

Anyone else think that he'd been reading this thread?

IT parent, I think we're all going to get along great. There was a lot of misinformation here and it's now over and done with. There are some great parents at Lee and I'm sure some great ones among you guys too. We'll just try our best to avoid the "lucky" patronizing pp.

The Lee kids are SO excited about the new playground and I hope they get to meet some of your kids there too.

Should the IT parents also try to avoid all the Lee parents who posted negatively? Perhaps the tone of the IT parent's post wasn't the greatest, but the Lee parents were for the most part going above and beyond to speak negatively about their neighboring school, positing all kinds of conspiracy theories, etc. Lee parents shouldn't be surprised to get a negative response, they should really be surprised they only got one.

As we used to say a while back, "if you can't take it, don't dish it".

That's not what Kaboom just sent out. They said they were there to build a playground.

IT parent here. I'm going to stop reading this thread as the negativity is unreal. I was feeling great about the new school year until...

IT and Lee are NOT rival school folks. Please stop pitting them against each other. Stop blaming each other (especially for things based on speculation.)

I fear these comments are going to translate into animosity among parents in the real world. This is not the real world.

I've met SO many awesome parents at IT this year. And I personally know several awesome families at Lee as well.

Please squash this and go out of your way to welcome each other to the school in real life.

Just let it drop.

We should totally have a Lee vs. ITS walk off.

Lee parent here. I have a proposal: how about we all write off today and bond over our shared irritation with Building Hope and the general contractor for delivering us a quasi-finished school that's missing interior windows and has incomplete electrical wiring instead of lashing out at one another? It's something Lee and Inspired Teaching families can all agree on!! (kidding!!!)

All, please keep in mind that this thread was seeded by a handful of disgruntled parents from both schools and not overgeneralize about Lee or ITS parents. All of the perspectives I've seen are pretty valid to some extent as is all of the frustration. I think we're all feeling stressed and anxious that our kids are starting school under not-quite-ideal circumstances, but we're also all very blessed to have kids at two great schools. Let's try to find some opportunities to collaborate moving forward.

I agree with your post almost 100%. The post was started only by Lee families. I didn't see any disgruntled IT parents until like page 8. However, your sentiments are accurate. Let's get some windows!

No kidding, that is some extra petty. Hypocritical petty. Way to go, ITS parent.
