Inspired teaching question

The Lee person who started this thread seems impossible to please with a bad attitude. The IT parent took the bait. You should have just read it and moved on. Not worth defending your school when someone is purposely trying to find fault.

No kidding, that is some extra petty. Hypocritical petty. Way to go, ITS parent.

+1 nothing worse than a back handed compliment.

I don't feel gratitude to IT for renting their building and future playground to us, and I do expect to be able to send my child to school in the building we pay rent for. If we can't us the building we pay rent for one day, I expect the reason to be a good one (construction, malfunction etc).

Good point. Will Lee be getting a refund for the hours not used today?

Then stop trying to couple IT parents with 10 pages of negative comments threatening to sue the school. Come on you've got to admit, the IT parents demonstrated a huge amount of patience for the first 9-10 pages.

Can you JUST.DROP.IT! PLEASE!

Take a look back at the thread. There are very few negative posts and several of them appear to be from neutral commentators. Several Lee parents have said that we need to move on, but one ITS pp just won't let it drop.

A third party here, but I have to say the ITS parents I've met all have displayed to me, personally, a sense of entitlement that is almost aromatic.

Lee parent here. Amazed by the length of this thread! I will console myself with the thought that most parents from both schools today were either working, like me, or taking a last minute day off to do early pickup, like my partner. And that the vast majority were *not* hanging around this thread bickering. It probably was just a handful of folks on here.

The Lee and ITS families I know in person are rational and kind. So for the onlookers, please remember that this thread is likely not a representative sample of either school!

You guys know DCUM isn't real, right? We can bitch our hearts out and speculate to high hell and feel all aggrieved, and it's not going to translate into one iota of real animosity to actual parents from the other school tomorrow morning.

Nope. Nor will it be charged extra for its full week of school prior to ITS opening.

Who cares if IT was open or not? I'm sure Lee's lease reflected their start date and that IT billed them accordingly.

This is a terrible assumption. Lee has made it very clear how they feel about ITS (with more than one poster claiming about ITS when it should be directed towards their OWN administration). The entitled attitude of the Lee parents posting here is definitely a turn-off.

I'm sorry you've had so negative (or just so few) interactions with ITS parents. We're a upper grade family and have found the families to be very welcoming, inclusive and definitely not entitled. If anything they are the opposite as they've had so many challenges with a new charter and most have adopted a "roll with it" attitude. I was very shocked by how some things would have angered many parents in other schools, ITS parents usually respond with "that's just the way it is."

"Lee" has not "made it very clear". In fact several posters who have identified themselves as from Lee have said again and again that there is no animosity, that they look forward to working together and thanks for the playground. Just STOP prolonging this and creating conflict where there is none. PLEASE!
