Yeah, it was the same for us until I asked. Apparently those of us that accepted over the weekend should have been on the email list but were not.

I even asked them directly in an email Friday and did not receive any response. I'm not happy.

I asked the same thing - no response. I even stated that I needed to let another charter know. I am so mad!

They knew exactly what they were doing by not responding.

It's so unprofessional. It would be difficult for me to trust the administration after this seemingly intentional tactic of keeping parents in the dark. I'm glad we're not sending our child there.

They knew last week. They stated it in the public meeting tonight. The owners of the Wisconsin Ave. space never wanted to rent, only to sell. They were trying to get a third-party to buy the building and then rent to SS. They couldn't make it happen, so they signed a two-year lease with Sela.

Based on what another poster just posted on another thread SS reported to the charter board that they haven't heard parent opposition to the move. So the withholding of info seems very purposeful so that they could seemingly or technically respond to the board honestly. Ick.

When did they know last week--before Friday? What did the PCSB say at the meeting?

They knew early last week that WI would not work out. The PCSB seemed kind of light on them.

Just close the school already along with your future co-tenants.

Based on their epic fail with the location debacle they'd be hard pressed to turn you away. On the other hand, There will be so many complaints racked up with the charter board that their charter is likely in jeopardy.

I don't think the charter board is much onto enforcing. Too busy making money.

The charter board doesn't make money.

the baord memebers own companies that absolutely make a lot of money

I am happy to be in a charter school, but I'm not foolish that a profit motive doesn't drive the industry. It is unfortunate, yes.

I'm this PP, and I JUST received a response now stating that school will be at Chillum Place. I will respond that we are not attending but I almost feel like just ignoring them altogether.

I'm glad you're going to respond, even though I totally understand feeling like ignoring them. But the more people who respond one way or the other (leaving or staying), the more realistic a picture they have of just how all this back and forth and bad communication is influencing their incoming classes. They need to know if people are not enrolling/withdrawing because of this. Good luck PP, hope you have a good other option.

Agree, and I did respond.
