These areas are single sex because people are generally more comfortable being nude around the same gender. A penis in the woman's locker room is a big deal. That's a fact.

OK, my daughter had her swim class yesterday. She's almost 4 as are the others in her class. They shower after the class. So there was my daughter, showering in an open locker room shower, with two boys around her age. Believe it or not, she's perfectly fine today, despite there being not one but two penises in the locker room. The sun still came up, and the world is still turning. And she mentioned not one word of it to me at any time. She was utterly un-phased.

I am teaching my child how to infer when reading. I believe this thread originally started with a grown-ass, over thirty year old transgendered female with a penis. Now what age do you think the posters were referring, your four-year old little boys in the shower, or adult men in the throes of becoming women.

I'm a femme, cis woman who has some bisexual leanings. I've managed to use the women's locker room my entire life without sexually assaulting a 13 year old. I'm way more likely to check out our ass in yoga pants during class than I am in the locker room.

I would hope that government (ie taxpayer) funded insurance is not going to pay for sex change operations and hormone therapy when access to basic medical care is still a challenge for many Americans. I would be willing to pay for mental hospital confinement for "trannies" though, to deal with their sickness

So close and so far away. A transgendered person is someone with the body of one sex and the brain of the other sex. They are changing their body to match their brain. Having a penis doesn't make her or her brain male.

I'm a 29 year woman with a Masters and that sentence makes no sense to me, let alone a 4 year old. From a purely biological standpoint if you have a penis you are a man. This isn't about feelings this is about your biological "parts" and imposing your "feelings" of what and WHO you think you are onto others. And if anyone objects it turns into an issue of being "Homophobic" and a "Civil Rights Issue" REALLY?!?!? If you are PRE-OP you are a man and I cant see feelings; I see you penis in a women's only nude area. If you want to be a woman fine, do what you need to do to make that happen but the sense of entitlement that others should make an exception for you because in your head YOU feel like a woman is ludicrous!
Also "Black people were born black and can't do anything about that. Transgender people were born in the wrong body. They can either suffer (which apparently you advocate) or "switch" to their true gender." I FIRMLY believe in live and let live and this is NOT a civil rights issue when it comes down to OBVIOUS GENDER differences not racial. Discriminating based on skin color or ethnicity in a women's or men's gender specified area is a Civil rights issue; a biological man not being welcomed into a women's nude area are rules of the establishment for the comfort of ALL who patronize the business. If you don't like it don't go but stop whining about you not being accept for what you "feel".
