Infertility Support and Discussion
|
Hello, I have just had a success on first IVF and I am 41. Prior to IVF I had 3 IUI's that did not work. In the IVF I was on high doses of drugs and had 6 follicles and 6 eggs, 4 fertilised and only 2 survived to day 3 transfer rated 1 and 2.
Its still early days and I did have bleeding about 9 days after Embryo Transfer that lasted 3 - 4 days off and on. Over 4 days I had 2 positive pregnancy tests, 1 negative and another the next day that was positive. I did think it had worked because of the bleeding and negative test but after 2 blood tests HCG doubled and at the moment things are looking OK. All the best of luck. Just wanted to let you know it is possible. Best wishes to everyong..... |
CONGRATS!! I bet you are over the moon!! It's such a anxiety provoking experience eh!?
FYI- I'm the gal who started this thread. I'm 40 and had 1 IVF and transferred two blasts (5 day embryos transferred) and am almost 30 weeks pregnant with boy/girl twins. So...YEA there is HOPE so keep the FAITH!!!!

| Can any of the PPs who were considering CCRM report back on their experiences? Am trying to learn all I can about them, especially since they take United Healthcare. |
| I cycled at CCRM last summer. My cycle sucked, but it wasn't their fault that I'm the worst responder ever . . . . Cycling there was so much nicer than at SG - you meet with your nurse every morning after the ultrasound and go over your numbers, the blood results from the day before, the status of your meds supply, and what the doctor will likely do when your bloodwork comes in that day. Everyone was so nice and helpful, and they go the extra mile in everything they do (my DH said they were much more specific about the procedures he had to follow in giving his sample, and he was impressed that they were careful about everything). It is great if you have insurance coverage because they are more expensive. |
Go away troll. I think that most women of AMA on this board realize this. We're looking for good stories, not negativity. |
| wonder how OP is doing -- she must have the babies by now! cool to follow from start to finish, hope she gives and update and all is going well. |
