If it isn’t a pressing issue, then drop the effort to allow trans women in women’s sports.

Yeah, these people always say “it’s complicated” but will never do anything to protect girls in their sports. It’s delusional and ridiculous.

Obviously if it’s such a small, unimportant issue that impacts so few people, there is no need to permit trans women into women’s sports. Just admit to the obvious unfairness and cruelty of demanding girls and women give way for trans girls and women, and drop the issue entirely.

They can’t, because their position is driven by vicious misogyny and they will never let that go. They love their misogyny too much.

The outrageous thing is that for every trans woman or girl competing in women’s sports, there are many more cisgender women and girls affected. Every other athlete on the team and every competitor is affected. In their world, the interests of a single trans athlete outweigh the interests of all of their female teammates and competitors.

What exactly are you talking about? The trans sports thing? I have no hate in my heart. I don’t believe that transgender women and girls belong in women’s and girls’ sports, but that’s certainly not a belief rooted in hate. I also believe that certain traditionally single sex spaces (Koreans spas, women’s gyms, locker rooms in some situations) should remain single sex.

And those belief doesn’t implicate Ls Gs and Bs at all.

You just outlined discrimination. Trans people do not harm others bathrooms. However, a trans woman would be in danger of her safety if she used a men’s room. You don’t even understand your own hate.

Why would a man be unsafe in the men's room?

You’ve just revealed your ignorant hateful heart to us.

I choose to live in reality, not fantasy land.

Hmm hmm, just like it’s a fantasy land for women to think they have equal rights or that black people think they’re just as smart and capable as white people or that someone thinks they have the right to speak Spanish in public without harassment? The reality is that you’re a hateful bigot.

+1

Of course. Which is why nobody believes the blue cultists who go on about how little the issue is. Their own actions betray that they of course do not consider the issue small.

You cannot yank centuries of hard fought rights based on sex away from women to satisfy the crazy demands of your men’s rights movement and expect most of this country to shrug and be okay with it.

You're my way or the highway is a mafioso way of addressing an issue. I'm FINE banning it. I'm not fine banning it while a) treating trans people as less human or "mentally ill" or any other slur flung around about them and b) finding a way to allow them to compete in some way. It may not be with women or men. But it requires an adult discussion not the discussion that MAGA is used to having on this issue.

And Ftr, my dd is a female NCAA athlete. So, no, I don't NOT support womens' sports. I don't support misogyny. Typical MAGA "argument." If you want to find some resolution for the 5 NCAA trans women athletes, I'm all for it. But not with your attitude and inability to have an adult discussion about it.

Maybe you're not aware of the violent crime statistics perpetrated by American men, in general. Or even worse: against women and against lgbtq+ people. I suggest you use your armchair analysis and go learn somethings.

They have a way to compete. They can compete on the team associated with their biological sex.

Because they're taking female hormones and are dressed in women's clothes. They present as women. Women stay out of men's rooms. They are also not safe because of transphobia and walking into a men's room is asking for trouble. It's not hard to understand.

You’re so so close getting the point.

There was a radical left in the 1960s. The Weather Underground. And a smattering of anarchists in the early 20th century who also participated in bombing. Ted Kaczinski and other randos, not organized. That's about it for radical left organizations in the U.S.

And the flip side is you are so cruel to prevent a child from participating in a sport with their teammmates when there is no proof of physical advantage.

Nope you’re an uneducated bigot. That is the reality. I know you can’t admit this to yourself so that you can sleep at night, but perhaps someday you’ll see that you have hate and fear of people who are different than you. That’s the core of bigotry.

No, this is hyperbolic. It should be decided on a case by case basis at the state or local level. In most cases, there is no physical advantage and the teammates all simply want to be on a team together. Obviously if there is potential for physical harm or an advantage of some sort, then they shouldn't, but again, it isn't like we are talking about a 6'9" "boy" who wants to play on a girls basketball team.
