How does one withdraw if you're not offered the job?

Seriously? What is point of your post other than to be an a$$. He was in consideration, was interviewed and withdrew his name during the process.

People withdraw before offers routinely for all manner of jobs.

Dave Mitchell also withdrew his name from the search. Perhaps the Bullis HOS' anti-sports mindset is causing concern for candidates.

Anti sports? The entire bball team is scholarship. They have a ton playing football. The track team is scholarship. There's some dei on lacrosse. There's probably up to 50 kids getting a huge tuition break.

Interesting DEI reference as it relates specifically to lacrosse. The term DEI is often used to describe the situation where Black players are less gifted than their white counterparts but are used to achieve diversity. Are you suggesting that the black players on Bullis' lacrosse team are being use to increase diversity and are not deserving of their roles? I am a bit confused.

The first letter in DEI is Diverse. Private schools have switched from looking for diversity through the entire school to include education and are almost primarily looking for minority athletes to increase their diversity % and entertain the students, alumni and staff at the same time.

One of the player's dads on Bullis brags about how he got the best scholarship deal out of Bullis by putting race first. His teammate on the Hawks' dad did the exact same thing. It's not much of a secret.

DEI is almost never used to reference minority athletes, but it is used when minority candidates are given priority first in skilled fields like medicine or flying a plane based on the color of their skin rather than merit.

Your comment comes across as someone who is accustomed to access and privilege and becomes uncomfortable when longstanding assumptions or standards are challenged.

The two Black dads of Bullis players must have been savvy by strategically leading with race. Bullis would have certainly struggled to identify their race without the Black box being checked on their applications. What a joke! Over the years, Bullis has been one of the only teams to consistently field Black players (I can name 8 over the past 6 years). Based on your comment, I can only assume that this decision was rooted in the entertainment value delivered by those Black players for the enjoyment of others.

Instead of focusing on race, let's look at talent. I have a few questions. Is your kid, lil Franklin, an over-rated 2 star player who is consistently dominated by players who could have only accessed private schools (Dematha, SJ, GZ, STA, Landon, and Prep) via DEI? Let's be honest. Do you feel inadequate as "they" have consistently dominated lil Franklin throughout his HS season and then again during the summer? It must be frustrating but I promise, it will be ok. After all, it is all designed for entertainment.

I can't wait to share a beer with you at the UFC fight next weekend on the White House lawn. On the following Monday, let's head to the Kennedy-Trump Center to catch a show. We can probably grab two seats in the front row.

This is borderline conspiratorial. You're weird, dude.

Why isn’t Horsey the obvious choice? Does he not want it? What about Shawn Crow?
Anonymous
Horsey was fired from every job he's had including the head girls coaching gig at Bullis. Crow has a full time job. Bullis wants a full time person.
