If facts matter, then your post should be ignored. Try researching a bit before making incorrect assertions as if they are fact. |
It’s true that the U.S. has enormous advantages compared to other countries, but it’s hardly a happy place. What are those advantages actually for? Healthcare is broken, poverty is widespread and worsening, mass shootings are out of control, and people work themselves to exhaustion without enjoying life. It’s a nonstop rat race, and now we have Trump again, which is another level of shit show. The U.S is a shit show no doubt. It’s a complete mess. So why, exactly, is the world supposed to bow to the United States? |
The process is not that simple. Denmark's governing body must approve any such move after an election victory for independence. Denmark has no right to claim Greenland beyond imperialism. |
Based on what? It’s not relevant, but I’m curious. |
Are we really working up a Putin-style Ukrainian invasion argument? |
Exactly, and like the cycle of life, eventually the USA will follow that cycle and splinter into smaller countries. We are already in the early stages with states contemplating succeeding and becoming independent. The populace split and hating their fellow citizen. The government attacking, both physically and financially, dissenters and one segment of the people. How long do you think this can last before the next civil war. |
It hasn't been true in some time now that we are the most advanced or the most educated. This American exceptionalism is just something we say, but facts have not supported it in a long time now. |
Fair question. My answer is no, I am not advocating for any type of use of military force in the inevitable joining of the United States of America with Greenland. The US must purchase Greenland pursuant to a free, fair, and fully informed election by the few citizens of Greenland (total population of less than 57,000; not sure how many are of legal voting age.) The US can make the lives of Greenlanders much better and much more secure than can Denmark. |
You failed to cite any sources that Greenland wants to become part of the USA. Here are legitimate news sources that say that Greelanders don't want to be bought by anyone, especially the USA. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/07/world/europe/trump-greenland-denmark-us-defense-pact.htmlGreenlanders now have the right to hold a referendum on independence and Danish officials have said it’s up to the island’s 57,000 inhabitants to decide their future. A poll last year found 85 percent of residents opposed the idea of an American takeover. Greenland’s prime minister, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, has repeatedly scoffed at the idea of being bought, saying this past week, “Our country is not for sale.” |
No way! All you people want to do is spend, spend, spend for any foreigner and cut everything for Americans. Billions for argentina, billions for for Chinese soy beans, billions for Venezuela, billions for international oil companies, billions for the Israelis, etc. Greenland has no value to the US. None. |
Russia used horse calvary against drones.

You and PP are GARBAGE. Puerto Ricans are real people, and are citizens. Go to hell. I hate you. |
This is all bull sh#t. There has been talk of moving closer to Canada not the US. The US has had no interest in Greenland because there is nothing there. The NYC police department by budget would make it the 20th biggest army in the world. The US is more of a threat to the world vs China. You should see how Canada has embraced Chinese(heavy oil, timber sales, natural resources, talk of joint production of EVs, battery plants, long distance power lines, etc.). |
| DANISH PARLIAMENT MEMBER: “🇺🇸 had 30 bases on Greenland, why did you leave? You can resume that tomorrow without attacking a NATO ally… the rationale lacks factual foundation and doesn’t stand any logic testing.” |
