The U17s played Nationally Ranked SC Del Sol #4, #91 HTX, and #108 Florida United. That really isn't much lower. SC Del Sol is rated higher than VDA and Richmond. VRSC only lost 4-2. SC Del Sol is also ranked #3 in the US on Defense and VRSC scored twice. That is probably a good loss, right? HTX and Florida United are ranked higher than FVU ECNL but yeah, losing by two goals to both teams was not what the girls wanted. Did you know the VRSC starting GK was injured in the first half of the second game and did not play in the 3rd game? The Soccer Rankings App won't tell you that. Look, injuries happen but losing your only GK who is also your only D1 commit. That is a pretty significant loss. Also one of the starting CBs was out for the last two of three games as well.

Please leave the U17s families alone. We only have a year and half left before we are out and don't want to be part of the discussion. Nobody here is acting like we are best team in the area. We know where we fit in. Thanks.

Combine this with GA options at five clubs, new grade level rules etc and you have major uprising again. These coaches treated seasoned players like trash to bring in outside kick and run failures and younger unexplained promotions that led to fall on your face failure in Norco.

They all coattails of cc and most parents saw the true nature of the coaching. They don't coach. They just try to get players from other clubs and move existing players down to second teams to build the club. It is a method that won't work now that there is league competition from other clubs giving girls options away from the club to continue to play at the same level rather than drop to the incredibly weak aspire.

All of this complaining yet VRSC is still 2nd overall in the Division across all clubs. SYC is a very close 3rd. NVA, LS, and Mclean aren't even close. The Club in 1st is from North Carolina. I guess VRSC not too shabby considering they have awful coaches, awful recruiting, awful everything except the fields.

The above also tells me that any GA Club from NOVA would have had a very similar performance at Champions Cup. Glass houses. Pot meet kettle, etc.

Mid Atlantic South is one of the weakest divisions in all of GA. The absolute truth is that likely no Club in NOVA would have done much better at Champions Cup. Sorry to break the news.

In reference to one age group you're saying none of the top teams in our area couldn't have beat a team ranked like 900 in the country by more than 2 goals? 😂 ok

Seriously what’s this guy smoking? I guess keep drinking your Rev kool-aid.

Can you elaborate? Are you saying parents of kids with more IQ and skill but less speed and aggressiveness didn’t like MJ and ED, this is why MJ was forced out as the 2013 coach for the spring season, and as a consequence the kids with less IQ and skill but more speed and aggressiveness are leaving the club?

That's not how Champions Cup works. It's not a single age group, it's across all age groups.

Not sure who is ranked #900 unless you can point that out. The 2011s played #5,#12 and #25 in US for example. Lowest ranked loss across all age groups was 2-1 loss to #118 Utah Celtic. Not 900 or something.

I assume the poster was talking about GA Clubs, not ECNL. If VRSC is 2nd in overall in standings across all age groups, he is implying that because all other NOVA GA teams are behind, and assuming they wouldn't do much better. Tough to argue either way there.

Staff and coaches who have promised incoming families this club will be the #1 club on the Eastern Seaboard by the upcoming World Cup (it's been posted here in a closed down thread)have brought y'all in. Sorry. I actually have sympathy for you.

Why are the FCV and other DEI coaches still hired? That’s the real question

Right and that was the club’s only win at Champions Cup out of all age groups.

2013 Florida United. #898 in rankings app. 2013 Rev beat them 3-0, which indeed was their (and the club’s) only win in CA.

Dying here. The California performance at all age groups is terrible. Why the FCV coaches still have employment is uncertain. Maybe after a mass exodus of talented players like happened last summer, the club will understand. BP will be back to cherry pick. So will NVA.

Didn’t SC del sol play their second team most of that game and one goal was last minute luck? At the time VRSC 2009 was about 70. They lost to at least two inferior teams, but keep fooling yourself. Ask the coach why in one game a player showed up after the start time of the game and still played significant time during the game. Ok, so maybe she was the top player? Who was paid off for that to happen? Actually, happens at all the teams in this club…including owners sleeping with parents. One of the parents for our team was sleeping with the president of the company. The team coaches are frequently on here defending coaches getting high before practices. This club really kept it classy this year.
