We see random members of the hive flying planes, driving buses, etc. They simply do their jobs and if they wind up in another country, so be it. They’re no longer individuals with “homelands” to return to. She probably flew a plane there loaded with supplies and just continued helping out until she was called upon to be Carol’s chaperone/companion and then she headed to NM. |

I figured she was on vacation or maybe works for an international agency. Just her “look” seems sophisticated like someone who travels internationally. I know everyone is basically the same now but I think you can still tell a little about the previous person. I did wonder about stuff like hair cuts …. It’s been a couple months so presumably people need to get cuts, cover their roots, maybe buy new clothes…..how is this all happening? Are they all going to end up with the same hive mind bowl cut?
And despite having access to all the psychologists in the world, they seem to have very little insight into human behavior. It’s almost like they are autistic or something—the way they do something and then say “oh, I thought you would like that” when in fact it just creeps her out because it is too intimate or too specific or whatever. It’s like they’ve read every book about human behavior but don’t have the basic knsttincts to understand it. |
This ^^. People now go anywhere and everywhere without a thought because they’re all capable of doing any job that needs to be done. And they have no family members or individual homes they need to return to. |
