Speak for yourself. Some of us have better genetics than others. |
If you really looked younger than your age you would understand that it's also a burden. If you didn't spend your 20s getting ignored by your peers, receiving kid's menus at restaurants and arguing with people that your ID isn't fake, and yes, you really are 25, 27, 29, etc, then you do not get it. My sister and I had a hell of a time when it was supposed to be "the best time of our lives". People have always treated me like I was a teen mother, and trust me, women around here get really mean and nasty about it. I look young in a young way, not in a sexy 25 year old way. Now my kids have the same issues. |
Are you Black because I am and no one I know has melasma nor do I |
NP. Neither rosacea nor melasma are “standard” for any race |
This is fascinating. My dad, who I believe was mildly autistic but obviously not in the right generation to be diagnosed and I (no official diagnosis, but I am pretty sure) both look young for our age--like lots of comments starting in early adulthood and going on for decades. He used to always win those "guess my age" games at the county fair and they would guess he was in his late 20s when he was in his 40s. He continued to look much younger than he was until his death. Yes, I am a white woman, but I have always looked younger (it is catching up with me now but I think if I told people I was 35, they would never question it and I am almost 50). Thank you for this interesting take! |
Yep and forget about getting promoted lol |
White wimen age like fine milk |
I agree, white women age amazingly well. Great point! |
