The future looks pretty depressing for our kids

Schools are underfunded, healthcare is a joke unless you're rich, and more basic rights are getting chipped away every day. Meanwhile billionaires hoard everything and politicians only care about their own interests instead of actually doing anything. Climate change is getting worse and half the country still acts like it's not real. I don't want my kids growing up thinking this is normal. I want them to believe in a country that actually cares about people, not just profits. But right now, it’s hard to feel hopeful. And that's just the surface. I'm not even going to start talking about the economy they'll inherit.

It will get better. We need to stop the overwhelming immigration of cheap workers to hepp the middle class

Elites hate this

AYK?

so eliminate all the research and service jobs and replace them with manual labor in company towns, all while the gilded class eats cake...make the 1870's great again!

Income redistribution schemes? You mean like dismantling the government so rich people can get richer? You know no one with half a brain cell buys into your drivel anymore?

We do spend more than we have in the past, we spend more than our peers on schooling, we spend more than our peers on healthcare. It's fair to ask why outcomes aren't better.

You think illegal immigrants are taking enough housing to have been impacting the market? Really?

For pretty much my adult life the illegal immigrant numbers have been around 11 million. Lets say for the sake of argument its true, removing ~3% of the population, or in reality 5-10% of the population if US born kids go with them would dramatically reduce the cost of housing, though it would hurt home equity. That's also excluding the millions who have asylum claims pending, or have some sort of temporary protected status which is another couple of million.

What jobs are you referring to? Cleaning homes, working construction jobs, picking strawberries??

Why are we bringing in H1Bs, when comp sci grads are having a harder time getting jobs.

You lefties made a mistake. A big one. You put immigrants ahead of citizens.

When flooding the border with illegal immigrants, you insisted citizens get vaxxed. You did not require the same of illegal immigrants. I recall Joe Biden telling us he's "losing patience" with people not getting vaxxed. You democrats went after people's jobs if they did not get vaxxed, but you ignored illegal immigrants.

You gave business loans and mortgages targeted to illegal aliens through some "special" banks with favorable terms for illegals. Citizens did not get the same bite at the apple.

You ignored laws when it came to student lending. DEI and ESG was just a part of your institutionalized reverse racism. You did it willingly and loudly to let whites know they were second class citizens. Don't act like this did not happen. It was there for everyone to see.

Now, it's payback time. You never thought that day would come. I want to hear no complaints from minorities. You loved it when the DNC and all their affinity groups were pushing the hatred.

There was never a time that democrats out immigrants or illegal immigration above citizens. This is just right wing BS. Obama and Biden deported more than Trump did in his first term or currently, but they did it legally and in accordance with international law, which Trump is not doing. The democrats have championed healthcare, worker rights worker safety, education etc and moreso than the GOP has. The GOP dismantles and defunds these things. The GOP didn't even support funding bills for state and local law enforcement while Biden was president. Who voted to actually defund the police? It wasn't the democrats.

Democrats were not behind the “defund the police” movement? Seriously PP?

You do know this is a street downtown, right?

But sure, sure; MAGAs painted that on the street.

So a Democrat painted that (so you say) and it’s a reflection on the whole party? Was this ever a talking point for a democrat running for office?

How about actions? Trump could care less what happened to police officers on 1/6.

Why yes it was, here's Kamala Harris, who you might recall ran for VP in 2020!

Because they'll work for below-market, and the tech bros are entitled to make big bucks.

Again, you really think there are all these people here illegally "taking up" housing from natural born Americans? Wow, one is born every minute.

Ask Trump why he hires Russians and Eastern Europeans to work at his clubs rather than natural born Americans.

Right now Democrat run states give lower tuition to illegal immigrants than US citizens from out of state.

In state versus out of state tuition. Link?

It should stop, just like every other program.

Supply and demand my friend.

Low supply=high prices.

Greater supply=affordability.

I threw out some numbers, please explain why you think housing would be no cheaper with 10% fewer people? We already can see this in Japan as there is excess housing supply.

For the most part, people here illegally are living with family and friends, crammed into houses and apartments. They are not living among and by themselves - how could they without, you know, documentation?

It has been difficult for African Americans and poor white families to get housing on the lower eastern shore. Under Biden illegals were prioritized for housing in these areas.
I had workers of both races struggle to find housing. Haitians were being given deposits to actually buy houses.

Just stop....typical northern VA moron who is walking around with their eyes wide shut telling everyone how great they are. No one thinks you are great most likely they hate being around you because of your stupidity and entitlement.
