FDA emailed to say you should respond if you got the email, but nbd if you didn’t get it.

My agency said it was legit so I replied YES and... the message bounced with an error that the recipient mailbox had received too many messages per hour. Hilarious!

Ours pre-empted it by warning us that it was coming. It's legit but looks hackneyed and unprofessional. In any case China has hacked OPM in the past, so it's not like they need this to get a list of employees

Everyone is RTO no later than 30 days (this was a couple days ago) out, and a plan for that will be out next week. It's been made clear that "no later than 30 days" does not mean that 29 days from from now people will still be WFH and RTO the next day.

There was an email yesterday alerting us that we will be receiving the OPM email and it was not spam.

I didn’t get any email like that from my agency. The OPM email looked super suspicious, had no identifying info, etc. it looked like a phishing attempt.

We got the heads up email and I still thought the OPM email looked fishy. At a minimum they could have been like “per our prior communication regarding the new OPM email…” but that is probably expecting too much from them

I was told 3 agencies were getting the data: OPM, OMB, and GAO. That doesn't mean GAO was analyzing the data (maybe OMB did the analysis, maybe OPM), just that Congress wanted a copy of the data. I believe some other sub-agency is watching IP addresses to see where people are using their laptops.

At my agency during the pandemic they installed new turnstiles which require a PIV card read to enter or exit the building. Some people did get in trouble for PIVing in and then immediately leaving to go home to telework.
