What is your federal agency telling you re: RTO? (No other rants/comments!)

They could simply send the memo directly without having to go through Agency heads. Agencies will of course have to come up with plans/designations etc within 30 days but the intent will be communicated.

Our agency has still not communicated their plans so we have to wait and see how it pans out.

We are any way at 6 days/PP. Don't mind if they set it to 8 but having the flexibility of 1 day of telework/week would be nice (that's what we had before Covid). I pity my supervisor who will have to sign off on countless situational telework requests as so many of us have downtown meetings etc.

This didn't come through at my agency. We only got the OPM is testing new capabilties email from the head of our agency yesterday.

Can’t wait for a foreign bad actor to exploit this and send something similar from a fake DOGE account, “click here to acknowledge receipt.”

Very easy to report phishing in outlook. Just click on the button at the upper right hand corner that says “report phishing.”

Right, I know it’s easy but the point is, if a real phishing attempt were made by a foreign bad actor is the next week or so, doing something similar to what OPM is, I suspect a small number of feds and contractors would click on their link (as opposed to reporting it as phishing).

Agreed. Which is why we should all report this one as suspicious.

Also they are up to no good trying to bypass your agency hierarchy.

It seemed suspicious to me. I reported it as phishing.

I reported it too. It looked more like spam than the actual spam emails I receive.

You could be written up for not following security protocols.

I also reported it, as did a number of my coworkers. None of us have replied to it.

I think my 12 yr old could have come up with a more professional email than this.

Has anyone’s agency or component sent something out to follow up on this OPM message? Mine hasn’t.

+1 who is writing the emails and memos? The lack of professionalism is telling.

I want to see if they send another email first. I don’t work for OPM, and no one in my chain of command has told me to respond.
