King Charles and Prince William wished Harry a Happy 40th Birthday!

Charles wanted to be a tampon. I don't think anything else can ever compare in terms of black sheep.
Not counting Andrew, who clearly needs to be behind bars.

Only polite pleasantries would be appropriate when interacting with family members who have shown they'll say anything to the media.

Camilla and William have shown they'll say (via "palace insiders" if necessary) anything to the media in return for positive coverage. Your point?

My point is I wouldn't trust any family member or "friend" who would go to the very public media and get paid for trashing me in a book and on television. Perhaps you are okay with that way of dealing with family. There's a reason Harry and Meghan don't have close family relationships.

I wouldn't trust any parent who raises a child from birth to be a spare. There is a reason that younger royals routinely go off the rails

Great. No family ties for you, Harry, and Meghan.

Right, everyone involved seems fine with that. It’s the fans online that can’t stand that Harry isn’t begging to get back into the fold.

Most people don't care at all about his being back in the fold. They just want him and his lovely bride to live their lives without criticizing their families publicly.

Who cares one way or another though. I didn't read Harry's book and I only saw snippets of the Oprah interview. Have they done anything else -- it seems like they've been pretty quiet and low key since then unless I'm overlooking press leaks or something.

I think Harry felt he needed to explain his decision to leave the family publicly and I also think the British press were so aggressively nasty and racist to Meghan that she felt compelled to state publicly what a toll that took on her especially during and right after her pregnancy. I think it felt like a public ordeal to them and they put a public period on it. Plus no doubt the proceeds from the book were useful to them (I don't judge -- everyone is trying to make a buck). But it's not like they are in the press every few months telling tales. And the family has been leaking embarrassing things about Harry literally his entire life, even when you was just a teenager. They still do it -- there were leaks about him around the Queen's funeral and the coronation and his dad's cancer diagnosis. So it's just odd to be upset with him for playing that game when he's been on the receiving end probably more than most.

Agree, it seems hypocritical for posters here to criticize Harry for his book and Oprah interviews a few years ago, when the family has been leaking about him all his life and continues to do so.

It’s not hypocritical of Harry but rather predictable what would happen. His parents actions led to their divorce. His led to the ending of his family’s relationships. Even if they wanted to call it even is there enough trust for any message other than Happy Birthday once a year? The 2 boys are on different paths, and they’re estranged. It happens.

Perhaps they realize that they need to keep the door open for his kids, too. Someday they may want a connection, or an escape. I think the kids are the real victims in this. Harry made his choices, but those children did not.

Actually, it's the whining and grifting we can't stand. Everyone is fine with him putting the past behind him and moving on with his nuclear family.

The book came out almost two years ago. Again it’s the fans who haven’t stopped whining since. Harry’s moved on, at some point y’all have to, too.

Hmmm...the book is gone? No paperbacks? No recordings of Oprah's show? Yeah, everyone move on....

He keeps dropping hints about a follow-up book, and Meghan wants to have her own book. Who is not moving on?

They signed a three-book deal. We--that includes you--have zero idea what the other two books will be about. Maybe Meghan will write a recipe book, who knows. They're doing a show about polo apparently. So stop with the ugly speculation already.

How would you rate Prince Andrew?
He is at the receiving end of the consented effort of the press, the BRF is behind it.
They should be proud of him, he actually has accomplished something, the invictus games, he actually also really did have an army career and didn’t just play around with it.

He is more easy to like. William and Kate are very plain vanilla, too high class to even relate to

You must have missed the video of them frolicking on the beach!

Oh that was so cheesy

The children will be able to make a connection if they choose to.

Simple truth, BRF needs to keep the H&M in the tabloids in order to look good

He can’t bring his kids to the UK because of security, but the rest of the family can visit as often as they like

Keeping Lilibet away from Andrew is probably for the best

They've been kept away from everyone. Out of sight=out of mind.

And it's good parenting imo. They're not using their kids in cheesy pr videos.

Their kids are featured in the H&M Netflix doc

It's so sad to live in a multi-million dollar home and travel the world but just can't seem to afford security to visit your family. YAWN.

This is so incredibly dumb. Many much wealthier, higher profile people travel with their kids. Just get a couple bodyguards like everyone else.

We all know it’s not security. He’s traveled to two of the world’s most dangerous countries this year and had top notch security.
The “security” that won’t let him come to England starts with M. And she won’t let the kids come either. That’s why the BRF needs to make sure the door is open to them, when they want to break free.

His recent past actions include refusing to promote the new paperback or add a new chapter of updates to it. You're an incorrigible hater.

I have never expressed hatred towards anyone and certainly not my family members but I guess ypu are not aware that printed materials and televised programs are available for readers and viewers forever.

So, you choose to ignore the points that (a) he's refusing to promote or update the paperback version of his book, (b) he hasn't said anything about the BRF since the book and Oprah, and (c) the BRF continues to leak about him, with tidbits about how, for example, the Queen supposedly hated that they called their daughter Lilibet, his recent travels to Britain, and so on and so on.

You're an accomplished hater. Own it.

So kind of him.

At least he's not leaking to the British press like KP and BP continue to do.
