This warmed my heart. Perhaps both of their recent experiences with cancer made them realize life is too short. I hope they can repair their relationship! |
Wow. What a low bar. |
It is surprising. Very nice, maybe they know something we don’t. |
That’s nice. |
It is a good sign from William |
Good! |
And yet, so many have family members who cannot even meet this bar. |
How did they go about wishing him HB? Was it a public announcement on social media? If so, seems disingenuous. Better to buy a Hallmark card, send a heartfelt note or make a phone call. |
I think you're reading too much into it. I think this is just a formal, PR-driven acknowledgement of a milestone birthday. If they ignored his birthday completely the optics would be terrible, and they (William/Catherine) would have opened themselves up to a lot of criticism. |
Maybe they did. Also, social media birthday wishes are protocol for them but they haven't done it for Harry in a few years. Could be because this is his 40th. |
I agree with this. It was impersonal and a basic greeting. Both greetings were just a PR acknowledgement of a milestone birthday |
All the talk of protocol cracks me up. It makes them sound so awful! |
+2 Its not like they threw him a surprise party with a big cake. ![]() |
I mean they certainly would have sent a message to the public if they didn’t. Therefore the acknowledgment is also a message. Maybe not a super strong one, but one nonetheless. Neutral or positive, not negative. |
Did they do it last year? |
