Wouldn't you think protein would be an important food group to have enough of?

Climate friendly 🙄🙄

I agree. Taking meat away from Olympic athletes is quite possibly the stupidest idea I've ever heard.

The chocolate muffin guy is my favorite new character.

LA slogan in 2028: “Beef and air conditioning for all! Without a side of e. Coli!”

The creepiest part of the Olympics to me is Al Michaels’ AI voice giving daily recaps on Peacock. Weird.

Every event will be a record breaker

Peacock has been annoying lately with their highlights clips cutting off right after the final score comes in and the medal results become apparent. This happened several times with the diving… the last team would finish their dive, receive their scores, then the camera would pan to the Chinese celebrating for like a nanosecond and then the clip abruptly cuts out. Happened after the women’s team gymnastics too. Can’t they wait one extra minute to show a bit of the celebrations? Kind of annoying.

I have a question about the commentary. I watched the women’s all-around gymnastics live early this afternoon. Now it is on again, in prime time, with a different set of commentators giving the play-by-play action.

Did these prime time commentators watch and record their comments live this afternoon or are they commenting live to an hours-old competition? They keep talking about what we’ll see “this evening”, even though the live competition would have started late afternoon, Paris time.

And it doesn’t really matter, just curious if anyone knows.

Yes—they comment while they are watching live and it airs later. There are 2 sets of commentators.

It's ok if it matters, nothing wrong with that. We are allowed to question things.

Is anyone watching Equestrian events? The backdrop of Versailles is lovely!
