I really don't think the VP choice will change ANYTHING about this election. On either side. This is, like last time, a referendum against Trump. The No Trump vote will stay at homes or go to Biden. The No Trump camp goes from conservative to progressive - all the people who hate Trump. Which means Biden will win the election, just like last time, thanks to hatred for Trump. The only good news is that we're not doing this again in 2028!!! |

Would not be so sure this time. The math is difficult for Biden to get to 270 Trump as well which means it goes to the House and Trump wins. We also have MAGA Mike with the gavel unless dems take the majority in the House he will do everything in his power to stop the transfer of power or certify. We also know Flynn and his band of merry traitors have had 3 plus years to train to do a military coup. If you don't think this can happen check out Gen Charles Flynn Active duty from last January 6th. They are planning something. Flynn is all over social media sites and has plenty of "training camps" Florida, Texas, Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama, Okalahoma and Idaho. |

No weapons? While the majority did not, there were still hundreds who did show up with weapons. And there have already been hundreds of the convicted who have plead guilty to weapon charges and are serving prison time. You really need to get a better news source than OAN and Fox. |

Tim Scott helps with Black men vote. I see him choosing Scott. No need for a woman. That gets no more votes. Trump needs the Black men vote to make him viable because he’s bleeding suburban women. |

If they have such little regard for the intelligence of black people that they think they’ll vote for him on the basis of the VP being black, and not actual words and actions of Trump (both sides-ing C’ville, statements on Central Park 5, long history of housing discrimination, not to mention his words and actions around Obama), they are in for a rude awakening. Besides, Trump is in fact deeply racist as is a not insignificant portion of his base, and it won’t fly with them. My guess is that they will choose a “pretty” woman, pandering to a much larger segment of the population. |

Demographics of the candidates matter for election results. Look at NC, there was some party switching for the lieutenant governor (he is a black man). There party switching was the highest in areas with larger % black populations. The Race/ethnicity of a political candidate usually does not have a large impact on voter decisions, but at the margin it can change outcomes very close elections. |
