Why you cannot have a small apartment in Florida Villages and not be shot like in Baltimore or Chicago? |
? MAGA brain ^ right there. |
As a gaijin? |

The EU's FDA is a lot more strict than our FDA. They don't allow cloned meat, and pesticides are much more strictly enforced. They don't support corporate greed as much as we do, at the expense of the consumer.

Sandy Hook was far from being Baltimore. Virginia Tech is Baltimore? First Baptist Church? You cannot escape America’s sick, perverted gun violence and gun culture wherever you are. |
Most American kids would not eat that food, even if provided/funded. This is a cultural issue, unfortunately. |
They wouldn't, and that is because most people don't raise kids to have a taste for healthy food. And I find that the people who complain the most bitterly about American diets tend to be overweight, which suggests that they, themselves aren't living up to their own standards. |
Agree on both counts. |
Yes This isn’t Japan of 1980 Do you know how many Nepali and south East Asian immigrants are pouring into Japan presently? A white person in Japan - as long as you don’t care about socializing with locals — will have no issues. Just work for an international org/firm or have your own business/work remote Japan is rapidly opening up. |
What a lonely existence. |
There are tons of expats in Tokyo |
That's what happens when you addict children to toxic American food loaded with fat, salt, sugar and carbs sick about birth. Gee, you mean kids will find healthy good food 'gross' when you're been stuffing their fat faces with burgers, fries and frozen pizzas since the age of 2? |
Speak for yourself. My kid happily eats all that stuff. You on the other hand have acclimated your kid to eating junk. |
|
All the US has is junk. Seriously. Unless you have enough money to shop healthy foods which a lot of people don't. Even then there is something to be said for chips with enough salt so it tastes good. Do my prob is not that we have junk food but that the healthy stuff is so expensive. There's no way you can shop for meat at the butcher without some money and get farmers market products either. These are small businesses and they need to price products to make a living.
The real issue is our relationship to food. We don't respect good food and the ritual of having a long and healthy meal. Other countries are way more interested in food that's real. |
They're loosening restrictions on enforcement requirements with food prices. You can't pinch your nose in these times. |
