Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
The Wokes are trying to take away all the stuff my grandparents managed accumulate for me. It's not fair! |
You're not oppressed. Stop trying so hard to be, Jesus Christ. Look up the definition of racism. White people are not a minority..they are not marginalized-they are in a position of power. Maybe try and seek out an education first before making such ignorant posts. |
You mean some white people's grandparents accumulated for them. My grandparents came over on the boat. But that's irrelevant to progressives. You just want an excuse to usher in a more Marxist system. |
We don't need to look up the definition of racism. You've given us a great example right here by lumping all white people together and all black people together. Absolutely disgusting. And of course DEI oppresses white people as well as Asians by excluding us and discriminating against us. |
It may take some time for you realize, but you, my friend, have been brainwashed. |
I think the issue is strong family units. Progressives don’t like them because marginalized people tend to have weaker family units. Stronger family units make stronger kids, students, athletes, economics, etc… if they can isolate people from their family strength, they somehow see this as leveling the playing field in school, admissions, wealth, etc… The reality is that will never happen because strong families will continue to thrive and so will their children no matter how many DEI initiatives are used to discriminate against these non-URM groups. Wokes should focus all their energy on helping the disadvantaged build strong nuclear families. |

White people can certainly be a minority depending on context. White people growing up in SE do not have the same “lived experience” as white people growing up in suburban Ohio. It’s almost like painting with such a broad brush based on skin color is a form of prejudiced thinking and does anybody think that is a good way to treat others who they don’t know? |
Privilege come from money or pure luck. |

The woke movement played by the book.
Brainwashing definition from Britannica: “A systematic effort to persuade nonbelievers to accept a certain allegiance, command, or doctrine. A colloquial term, it is more generally applied to any technique designed to manipulate human thought or action against the desire, will, or knowledge of the individual. By controlling the physical and social environment, an attempt is made to destroy loyalties to any unfavourable groups or individuals, to demonstrate to the individual that his attitudes and patterns of thinking are incorrect and must be changed, and to develop loyalty and unquestioning obedience to the ruling party. The term is most appropriately used in reference to a program of political or religious indoctrination or ideological remolding. The techniques of brainwashing typically involve isolation from former associates and sources of information; an exacting regimen requiring absolute obedience and humility; strong social pressures and rewards for cooperation; physical and psychological punishments for non-cooperation ranging from social ostracism and criticism, deprivation of food, sleep, and social contacts, to bondage and torture; and continual reinforcement. The nature of brainwashing as it occurred in communist political prisons received widespread attention after the Chinese Communist victory in 1949 and after the Korean and Vietnamese wars. More recently, its reported use in fringe religious cults and radical political groups has aroused concern in the United States.” |
McWhorter makes a similar assertion in his book Woke Racism. He even goes so far as to say that wokes are like religious fundamentalists in how staunch their beliefs are. |
An annoying, off putting training is not the same thing as oppression. |

“I'm listening to someone who looks like my captor telling me about racism.”
Wow, he was enslaved? That’s awful!! |
Lol, it must be nice and tidy in your brain to think all white people have well-to-do ancestors. My parents both grew up dirt poor; one side came over in the early 1800s, the other around 1900 and my parents still had nothing until my dad signed up for the military and clawed his way out. |
OK, so when they say they want to hire fewer white people and ignore what white people have to say, that's not oppression? |
