This is all true and can’t be disputed. But if you dare speak it, you’re an antivax crazy! |
good questions although for young men, the risk of vaccine myocarditis is more than the risk of covid. https://jme.bmj.com/content/early/2022/12/05/jme-2022-108449 |
It's actually not clear that the risk from myocarditis is greater from covid than from the vaccine. The studies which make those claims are subject to large biases. They only include covid cases that were documented medically (i.e. only the sickest patients). The majority of covid cases are asymptomatic or resolve at home without medical testing. By narrowing the number of covid cases considered to only the sickest patients, these studies inflate the incidence of covid myocarditis. Also, many of these studies emphasize the time period when more virulent strains of covid were circulating (pre-Omicron). That's why it's useful to look at actual hospital admissions to get around these study distortions. As mentioned earlier, Nordic and UK studies show far larger numbers of hospitalizations for post-vaccine myocarditis than for post-covid myocarditis, especially in youth. |
That was for 2022. And that includes deaths where covid was the main driver as well as where it was only a contributory cause. For 2023, it's not clear that covid will even make the top ten causes of death in the US. Covid deaths fell off sharply once the milder Omicron strain became dominant in early 2022 and are presently near their historical lows. https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#trends_weeklydeaths_select_00 |
Is there going to be a post Thanksgiving spike? A holiday time spike? Post Christmas and New Year’s Spike? |
There will likely be a seasonal rise in cases but post-Omicron, there has been a decoupling of cases and deaths. |
Sorry but no. The majority of people aren’t testing anymore. Sure there will Covid but no one is really reporting anymore. |
At this point I am just grateful that I and my family are vaxxed. I know that if we get it we will be fine. A neighbor (unvaxxed) just had it and it sounded like a really bad flu (even with Paxlovid which gave her bad side effects). Why would I want that? I don’t! |
No one cares about Covid or big pharma vaccine$$$ anymore, but DCUM refuses to admit it!
Keep lining the pockets of big pharma!! lol |
We just can’t have anyone die anymore!! If we just masked harder and locked down more, we could eliminate all death!!!!!! If we all follow the rules, no one would die, ever!! Two weeks to stop the spread….🙄🙄🙄🙄 |
And MAGA 🙄🙄 can’t forget that accusation- that’s their favorite! |
I got covid just before the latest vaccine came out, so then I waited to get vaccinated. Now I figure I might as well wait a bit more so I can get vaccinated a few weeks before a vacation in February. It's not just antivaxers waiting to get vaccinated. Sometimes there are perfectly rational reasons. |
The vaccine prevents covid. Not 100% but that doesn’t mean 0 either. Why do you keep repeating false info? |
Research published in The Lancet medical journal in April 2022 shows that there is no greater risk of developing heart inflammation after a Covid-19 vaccine than after other common vaccines, including the flu jab.
Researchers from Singapore looked at the findings of 22 different studies, covering 405 million doses of different vaccines around the world – including flu, smallpox, polio, measles, mumps and rubella. Overall the rates of myocarditis and pericarditis following Covid vaccines weren’t significantly different to other vaccines, including flu, although rates of myocarditis or pericarditis in young men were higher following mRNA-based Covid vaccines such as Moderna or Pfizer. The researchers, writing in The Lancet medical journal, suggested that the rare cases of post-vaccine myocarditis and pericarditis might be connected to the overall immune response to vaccination, not specifically because of the Covid-19 vaccination or the spike protein it is based on. They suggested that the reports of myocarditis and pericarditis might be because of the large scale of Covid-19 vaccination and the close scrutiny it has had. Based on these findings, the researchers said that the benefits of Covid-19 vaccines (including a reduced risk of severe illness or death) far outweigh the very small risk of myocarditis or pericarditis, which is also seen for other vaccines. https://www.bhf.org.uk/informationsupport/heart-matters-magazine/news/coronavirus-and-your-health/coronavirus-vaccine-your-questions-answered/myocarditis-and-covid-19-vaccines-should-you-be-worried |
+1 Had the og vaccine and booster, got Covid twice. Incredibly mild both times. Vaccine completely messes with my cycle. At this time, I don’t plan on getting another Covid shot. |
